Obama Promised to pull them out of Iraq... And he Promised to do whatever it took to get Bin Laden... He's doing exactly what he promised where the War stuff is considered...
It's the changing of how Washington does business that he isn't and hasn't changed...

This is my personal opinion, but going into Iraq in the first place was the biggest mistake the US ever made. Not the 1991 war.... they had good reason then, but the 2001 war.

Their reasoning was just ridiculous.
They used the twin towers as an excuse to invade Iraq when that should have been the reason to send everything they had into Afghanistan, not Iraq.

And then some conspiracy theorists believe that was an inside job too. There is some pretty damning evidence concerning that too.... Personally.... with that, I don't know what to believe... I find it hard to accept that a government could be that heartless, so I like to remain neutral on that subject.

I know some people would disagree with me.... but that is just my opinion.

It's not that 9-11 was an inside job, it's the fact that the warning signs were just ignored...

Could 9-11 have been prevented??? I doubt it... Could it have been less tragic, that's for certain... The Government knew that the Towers were going to be targeted and they were roughly certain of when {9-11}... The buildings could have been shut down by way of Marshall Law and the death toll could have been considerably lower...
If it had been done right those towers could have been empty... But not knowing the means of attack, the hijackings couldn't have been stopped... Therefore the buildings would have still come down...


I won't argue the Iraq war... Jr. had to finish what daddy started, many people say that...
But some will say that everything happens for a reason and if we hadn't fought with Iraq then our attention never would have been drawn to Iran to see what they have been up to... Any until Iran allows Nuclear Inspections we have to assume the worse about their Nuclear Program...

Oi! No politititics on the premises! Politics, religion and armwrestling all lead to unfriendliness! And we don't need any o' that!

Hey! How 'bout those Saints! And, did you see the Olympics opening ceremony? Wow! Also, I noticed Avatar is still packing them in at theaters all over the world! Now that's cool!

Man talking about politics gets messier than that time I dropped a can of spaghetti sauce on the floor. Oh the carnage everywhere.

I missed the opening ceremony but did get to see them make that sad speech about the luger that died.

Let's just all be happy we have our health. I'm happy to be back home in Houston but am very sad the temperatures are on the 40s. I never thought I'd be missing our 80-90 degree summers.

I have to disagree about the Opening Ceremony in Canada... It just didn't strike my fancy...

I wonder if it is because I was subconsciously comparing it to the Chinese Opening Ceremony... It will be years before that Ceremony is topped... The whole time I thought those boxes were all generated by a computer program, but come to find out at the end that it was people doing that, there is no word to describe how amazing it was...

As for the Saints, there is a Super Bowl thread for that Jim... lol

Yeah the Chinese Opening Ceremony was spectacular. All those people moving in perfect unison was amazing. Better than any other choreographed show I've ever seen. I agree that nobody is going to be able to top that for a long time.

Each opening in its own place, time and country. I thought the Canadian opening was well worth watching. The special FX were mesmerizing, the entertainment titillating and costumes beautiful. And the voice of Donald Sutherland the icing on the cake!
