I would get this game, if it ever came out on PC...

And, if they managed to implement proper widescreen; which they neglected to do on Fahrenheit.

Loved that game, even though I nearly busted my fingers on all those quicktime events.

I STILL cannot buy this game! It's so frustrating, I can't even find a second hand copy anywhere.

Can't buy it off of Ebay or Amazon {or other online retailers} Joel??? You'll probably pay twice as much right now until it's popularity cools down a bit though...

I would buy it off Amazon but my concern is that the discs may be region specific given that they're bluray. Can anyone provide an answer on this? If you can convince me, i'll just order it online. I try to avoid eBay to be honest, just not my thing.

Yeah I've pretty much stopped using ebay myself unless it is something that I absolutely can't find anywhere else...

You can't order it from your local stores online??? That's the problem with Superb Games when they first come out, they are just too hard to get...
I expect God Of War III to be like that...

It's on GameStop's website, but it has a Limit to 2 per household right now... They must be anticipating the same as me...

I bought my copy from a Danish webshop called Coolshop. I'm fairly sure though that I got a British import of the game as there is only English language in the entire game. No other audio, subtitle og menu languages than English. That's a bit weird though as they advertise on their site that there are at least 5 different audio languages and 4 subtitle languages.

Anyway, the game runs smoothly on my PS3 - but then again - it may still be an R2-version, so there shouldn't be a problem.

My local EB Games just restocked today which is perfectly fitting as today is pay day :)

The clerk remarked at just how intense the demand for this game has been and it's bound to be the highest selling of 2010.

So far, i'm up to the chapter Father and Son. I like the way it's been broken down into smaller portions. This way I can do 1 or 2 chapters a day without forgetting anything which is core to the plot.

Initial thoughts?

Graphically, it's the second best for the Playstation 3. I'm finding that the Unchartered games still haven't quite been surpassed in their visual quality so far, though Heavy Rain is clearly its greatest opponent in this category. The story is of course terrific even though I haven't truly got into the meat of the game. My only disappointment so far is the controls. For now they seem to feel a little awkward in regard to character movement. I think this could have done with a little more work. But, to compensate for this, the L1 button does allow the camera to be switched which helps, but it still could have been better. Nothing that a patch can't fix.

But it looks to be a promising game.

I gave in and progressed another chapter to the Private Investigator. I've decided that for my first time through the game, i'm going to make the characters compassionate and understanding since the story looks to be quite a dark one. At the moment i'm not comfortable with having a regimented father and a sleazy, mean spirited private detective in the one story for now. I like the idea of there being some hope in the distopian world of this game. But, when I play a second time through, i'll be more adventurous.

More to come...
