I forgot to mention that I also liked the shout-out to Sweetwater Beer: Darryl put the flower in a 420 bottle.

Yeah. I think that it is mostly likely to be Shane's child. But, I think she might be just as upset if it were Rick's child. She just got through saying that it might be better if Carl died. And, I know that she eventually came around, but she might still be upset with the prospect of trying to raise a baby during a zombie apocalypse.

Which is why I raised the question, Do you think she might ask Hershel if he can abort it, while everyone is gone looking for Sophia??? As much as the human race would need every baby to continue on, I don't think I could imagine raising a baby without a guaranteed safe zone... And no matter the fortification you have in place, I just don't think a guaranteed safe zone is possible in a situation like that...
Not to happy with the Scenes for next week... Daryl gets injured when his horse gets spooked by a snake... Takes an Arrow throw his midsection, looked to be right around the hip area...
I think Daryl is one of my favorite characters, not only has he risen up to do what's right amongst the group, even with the 2 people he considers responsible {Rick and T-Dog} for his brother having gone missing, but also because he isn't in the comics {according to The Talking Dead talk show that comes on afterwards}, which means that you haven't any clue as to what might happen with his character, and when a movie, show, or whatever is based off of something else, those types of characters are when end up making the show stand apart from its base...
Kind of like the Vampire Jessica in True Blood {for those familiar with the show}... She isn't in the Sookie Stackhouse novels, which makes her character all the more interesting, simply because of the "You Don't Know" factor...
So even if I go ahead and read the Comics, I won't read about Daryl which would just make his character stand out all that much more...

Remember.....the old man of the house did not want them bunking in the barn, stay close to the house he says. And the floater in the well....well, farmers daughter knew him.

I'm not going to jump to the conclusion that Daryl's brother is dead... Daryl was just hallucinating during his many trips down the cliff side... lol
That doesn't necessarily put Merle in the Dead column... Personally I don't think he is... I think at some point he'll return and there will be a big showdown between him and Rick... Maybe not this season, but at some point...
But yes Daryl is very lucky to be alive... Especially since that one walker was trying to chew through his boot before he woke the first time... When they first saw him coming back I started to think that maybe he had been bit and had changed... I was getting pissed, especially when they got in close and the way he looked at them and his lip curled, I paused the show and went out for a cigarette... Luckily it was late so no neighbors heard me talking to myself about the show... lmao
Out of all the characters, as I stated before, I think Daryl is my favorite simply because of the "You Don't Know" factor that surrounds him...
According to the Talk Show that comes on after the show, they are saying that the show isn't following the books/comics all that closely, that a lot of things are branching off in their own direction, so even for those who have read it, it could have a lot of surprises in store... As Jen said, Maggie knew the Well Walker, but we may not even learn about that in the show, they may decide to just omit it altogether... Anything is possible, that's the beauty of it...
I'm really starting to get errked with the whole Sophia bit... This has gone on entirely too long at this point... As much as I'm disliking Shane, I'm starting to lean in his direction in thinking where Sophia is concerned... It has been 4 days now... The sign of her at the abandoned Farmhouse was uplifting but I think it should have been concluded in this weeks episode...
The question that is raised now, is what would make her abandon her dolly like that at the creek bed??? Thankfully there were no signs of blood or anything, so hopefully she is still alive...
And yes the whole Barn thing is suspicious... My thoughts are that Hershel is a man of god and strongly believes there will be a Cure for this and at that point he will be able to "Save" his friends and loved ones, and any others who have wondered in over time... I'm curious to know how he subdues the Zombies and gets them into the Barn...
Thank goodness it is a full season this year... When it first came out there were only 6 episodes, if they had done that again we'd be coming up on the Season Finale... We're only half way through at this point, and I sadly I think they are going to draw the Sophia thing out for at least 2 more episodes, if not longer...
They're going to get to the point where Carol gives up on her being found, but Daryl won't and then Boom there she is alive and well... Just my opinion on how that is going to play out...

I think I read on a au forum that there is only a couple more shows before they have a break.
the zombie in the well I think I may have missed a bit there, watching a download version is never the same & its a bit pizelated at times. We don't get season 1 here until march 2012 so I guess this is how I will be watching for a while yet.
SPOILER " I heard they break out of the barn" & then the story really gets moving.
Remember the old guy saying they can't stay here & making a point that the daughter is not to get friendly with them................

This week was Episode 5, there are suppose to be 13 this season, so there should be 7 more and then the Season Finale before they break until next season...

Oh, that's only a break for the Holiday season... I don't consider it an end or even a break really... ALL Shows do this, at least here in the states... Even the ones on the Main 3 networks, ABC, NBC, and CBS... There are just too many Holidays movies and shows put on that no one feels the need to compete, so they just break for a month and then pick the season back up in January...
Not too mention everyone is so caught up in the Shopping, Parties, and visiting of family that only diehard fans would make it a point to continue watching, so ratings would take a dive and no one wants their ratings to take a dive, so they just don't bother putting on new shows... What you'll have in between the Holiday Shows are mini-marathons of this seasons show in hopes to pull in new viewers come January...

Well the Cats are out of all the Bags now, aren't they...
I think Hershel is gonna end up being bit but his own darling wife or son... And then Maggie will give the order to clear out the barn and then allow them to stay... What do you all think???
Really annoyed at this point over the whole Sophia thing... According to clips from next week Carol tells Daryl that it is basically pointless to continue looking at this point... So even the Momma is giving up hope...
I think Daryl gives her a lecture and then rides off on another horse to look for her, but that part is speculation at this point... Daryl is gonna be the one to find her, of that I have no doubt and the fact that they've left it run this long I think he'll find her Alive and this will end up putting a bond between them after everyone tells her that Daryl wouldn't give up... That's my thoughts on Sophia...
How about Rick??? What do you think of him after how he handled the news of his wife and Shane??? Do you think Rick is too soft for the Zombie Apocalypse as Shane suggests???
I'm still feeling around for what I think of Rick... I think he is still in the mindset that things can go back to normal even though when he talks to people he knows the world is pretty much over... He's trying to be the Cool Level Headed type in a time of chaos and destruction and I'm not so sure it is really working for him...
Right now he really only has the loyalty of Dale and Carol, his wife goes without saying, Lori has stated more than once that she may not agree with every decision he makes, but she will support him regardless... Glenn right now is like Maggie said he is eager to help no matter who it is even though he should be leading, so Glenn's support at this point just goes to anyone who tells him to do something...
Daryl is in his own group... He listens to reason and will follow recommendations, but his view of what is reasonable sways with each situation... And if he doesn't agree with anyone's point of view he will do what he wants...
T-Dog doesn't know where to stand I think, right now he is just trying to make a home on the farm, so he is just doing whatever needs to be done to make things as comfortable as possible... He seems to follow Dale though, so you could probably put him in Rick's corner, but we haven't been given enough of his state of mind to make any solid conclusions...
Sorry for being so long winded... Just loving the show...

well I think rick took the shane news pretty well, it was not being told that he couldn't take.
I think sophia is a zombie now & probably when her mother finds her she will get bitten before she really knows what hit her.
well so thats the reason why the dead are in the barn, does the old guy really think they will get well, if he was kind he should have killed them.
well she really loves that gun now,

I definitely think that the walkers are getting out of the barn Last episode someone asked Herschel about helping secure the barn and Herschel said something along the lines of "It's plenty secure.", which immediately made me think that there is no way the barn is secure enough.
I could see the escape of the walkers going either way. Maybe one bites Herschel and then his family realizes the harsh reality of the zombie apocalypse. Or, maybe one of Rick's crew guns down a walker without Herschel's consent and that's the final straw and Herschel makes everyone move on.

It's probably one and the same - the ratings drop and so the revenues drop? It's odd that they break, but then shows on the BBC here tend to be about six episodes long. We're not as lucky as you guys who get tv series about 24 episodes in length.
