Access Software Remastered
Well they hinted that they weren't in total agreement with eachother on that aspect as they had "spirited debates" before the Kickstarter launch. Its probably also why it was pulled so fast after they got negative feedback. But I believe the story being a priority is something they both agree on since Aaron is the author (so I'm sure his big focus is the story) and it was Chris who said story and characters is something they focus on in the retroNick interview.my voice just wrote:but don`t forget - they have likely been thinking about this dlc thing for a good while too
If I were to nitpick on the tiers I would dump the golf game so the programmers can focus on adding to or improving the rest of the gameplay more. I know they have the golf tech ready but I would hope they'll program it so that its more themed to Tex Murphy a bit (monologues, sci-fi slant etc.) and of course they have to build that "Golf Cafe" business on Chandler for it to be housed inside. But I am not worried since I know that they have likely taken it all into account and the gameplay will be as good as it can be before they add in the extra golf game etc. Just like how they said they will be developing the game for PC first for those worried they'd use console interface during PC dev to make porting to other platforms easier. We all have our different opinions on what would add to the game and I know there are many on the Kickstarter who are very eager for that golf game so I'm perfectly happy for it to be there. I have enjoyed some golf games a bit and I'm sure I will find something to enjoy in a Tex Murphy one
Well they have their own band, so definitelyFrank wrote:What I think is a) The boys love music and would enjoy this extra feature
Well I don't think Jane added it as a superfluous thing either though. Their composer was very excited at the possibilities. So there is something I feel that a composer can do differently in managing multiple musicians versus software, not in the sense that one is necessarily always better than the other, but in the sense that the different processes involved in managing the music production will offer some different result. Like I say though I dont mind all digital (even to the point of songs that have used higher quality voice synthesizers ). But I am looking forward to what the composer will do with the different medium.b) the race for the orchestra has given Jane's campaign that much of a shove in the end, so they probably figured it generate a similar interest at some point.
- Jane Jensen KickstarterIf we get to $450K: All the above, plus an extra 1000 lines of dialogue to flush out the game and we’ll record the main theme with a live orchestra (Bob is drooling over that one).

It was a costly mistake that never should have happened.Sai wrote: Well they hinted that they weren't in total agreement with eachother on that aspect as they had "spirited debates" before the Kickstarter launch. Its probably also why it was pulled so fast after they got negative feedback.
Now it doesn't matter who was on what side of these "spirited debates," but whoever was on the right side deserves bragging rights for all eternity, perhaps accompanied by a little trophy on his desk to remind the other about it constantly. Seriously, the other should have to go to "Things Remembered" at the mall and pay for an engraved "no DLC" trophy to give him.
"Morlocks" was a funny reference in the update video but I took it as just a pun really, I could be wrong though. I suppose HG Wells book is now public domain maybe? (assuming one of the films didnt decide to make up and claim their own renewed copyrights since).my voice just wrote:i declare this morlocks canon!
Out of purely hypotehtical discussion - I wonder if he'll just have Tex say "severely mutated". I don't know why these severely mutated Mutants are so dangerous yet but it could be they are even more cast out from society than Louie, Rook etc. and maybe even cast aside by other Mutants leading to antagonism. Tex did fight a lot for Mutant rights and equality plus Gus was a pretty dangerous Mutant but he didn't call him a name based on monsters seen in old scifi movies (if he had it'd be Game Over quick I think
It seems like in Tex's universe they have seen the same kind of movies as us up to a certain point (if I remember right there are references to actual film noir films and characters?) where World War 3 hit upon which timelines diverged so maybe they will of seen old sci-fi Time Machine movies featuring Morlocks making it rather derogotary for Tex to use (though I guess on certain conversation paths he may be bold and make some joke references like the nose job jokes to Beek). Those from New Sanfrancisco who don't understand much about Mutants may of called poor Louie a "Frankenstein" though if people do use old scifi monster references to describe certain Mutants.
I mean Beek Nariz was pretty severely mutated too, just not as dangerous but he apparently hid in the "dark shadows" of Old San Francisco and was well informed. Was he hiding from even other Mutants because he doesn't feel welcome there either? It'd be interesting if there are some quirky informant characters like that you have to make your way through the dark underbelly of Chandler to reach.
Anyway it'll be interesting to see if he actually uses the term Morlocks as de facto or just as a pun in a monologue or conversation path (assuming no copyright issues).

Heh. I can't help but notice that the cheer-THUD intro sound isn't in the latest video update. Coincidence?Cubase wrote: Hahaha, add me to that list Jane!
