Perhaps it's a case of people, like me, dropping off over the years. After 5 or more years with no indication of another Tex game, one loses hope of there ever being a new one. I only found my way back after my daughter called me about Project Fedora on KickStarter. I suspect there are many out there who haven't heard of it yet, and so they haven't found their way back out of the wilderness.
