True. We should put some links to that info in this thread for the lazy. (like me) Are we e-mailing bugs or is there a form something?

there is no link here as this is not where you need to post, use the link in your beta email

I've installed the update stuff, but am I supposed to specify it to be installed to a certain place? (It prompts me for a location.) I'm thinking I may have it installed to a wrong folder on the hard drive.

what actually are you referring to, are you talking about the developers direct x 9 download. If so make a folders somewhere, I used download files folder in documents & name it directx9 & extract it there. Then do the setup from that folder.

The final output from the Microsoft Direct X process seems to be . cab files. I'm wondering if they need to be put in a specific folder.

Where? It seems illogical for the contents to be recognized without a specified location on the computer.

when you use the setup it will install where it needs to be, this is not a update it installs all the direc x 9 files

Oh I think I may have found the setup, it was buried under so many .cab files.

I just finished the Beta. In general I am very impressed by the picture quality, both in the cut scenes (which played well for me) and the game environment. I found one little bug which I will be reporting to the developers directly (cant do it here, spoilers). Comparing with the previous games, the quality of this game is zillions of miles ahead. They have taken full advantage of the technological developments that took place in the meantime. The only character we know in this chunk is Tex. You cannot get a good sense of the overall story. Looking forward to more!

So far all clues point to me being an idiot- I sent my e-mail to BFG with my long list of thoughts. I would like to share them here in the community, but this seems to be the "NO SPOILERS" thread.

Shouldn't we have a "SPOILERS, AH YEAH..." thread? Or does a public thread like that break our agreement as Beta reviewers? Is there a secret forum over at BFG for that?
