Thanks AGAIN everybody for such a warm welcome!!!!
And a special thanks to i'm_melting_i'm_melting for your quality, technical help!
I really can't thank you enough for your expertise, and for all the time you have taken to compile such a comprehensive list of what I needed to do. I couldn't have done this without you!!!! Thank you again and again!!!!!
You said: "Then we can make a boot floppy so you can use it to boot into the 98 drive and then just take it out to run XP."
Well, when I start-up my PC, or do re-boot, I'm given the option to boot to either XP or Win 98. And that seems to work just fine. So now I'm a little confused as to what I would need the 98 boot disc for? Should I not be getting this option to boot to either drive? I have tried booting to both XP and 98 (several times) and it seems to be okay. So please let me know if there is something I need be aware of.
Also, you said: "Install the 98 drivers, and now I've been typing so long I have deja vu... ahem, er, check all components are installed correctly by right clicking 'My Computer', select 'properties' and click the 'Device Manager' tab. Make sure there are no red or yellow symbols next to any things listed here."
Well, I do have a yellow symbol (exclamation mark) next to Network Adapters. And when I try loading the driver from the RestoreCD it can't find it - "driver not found". Any suggestions?
Other than the above mentioned, everything else is working at 100%. And I'm sooooooo happy and excited now that I can start setting up all the Tex Murphy games!!!!!!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
