Hi NetWalker,
Sorry not for responding for so long, but I was quite busy in the last months and only glanced in here once in a while whithout reading everything.
NetWalker wrote:Well, regarding the game, I guess I know what my problem is. When I installed the DVD version, I overwrited the TEX4.EXE file with the TEX4.EXE from my portuguese version.
Ok, then it is evident, why your version did not work, since it is exactly this EXE which is patched to change the Disc recognition of Pandora
So, is it possible for you to make the installer compatible with the portuguese version? If so, please let me know which files you need, so I can send them to you.
Yes of course, this is possible. I'd love to support additional languages, like I wrote in the patch announcement threads. But we better handle this per PM, since I need several files from you.

No, this patch doesn't change anything regarding compatibility to XP. But maybe I will include a pre setup for XP and NVDM Sound for the next version including the "Slow mouse movement"-Patch.
But even with this setup it would still be better to run this game under DosBox (or especially real DOS).

Someone [on the Vogons forum] pointed out that the Rapidshare link has timed out so I've hosted the V1.1 update on my
site.
Wintermute, it's your call if you want it to stay there or not!

Argh.. Yea I'm new to the forums and this is like one of those things I really wanted to have also lol..
So I download and try it out and I'm having the same Examination problem as others are in Roswell.. Insert Disc 4.. :-/
Is Wintermule still around? I wish I could hack these AP files myself and figure out exactly what went wrong here..
Maybe even be able to rename the Exam*.ap files so that you can have all the correct files.. :-/ (is there a way to open up these AP files?)
Wintermule, note that this is the only problem.. you can freely walk around inside Roswell and other areas without a problem..

"Wintermule"?
Sorry, just had to laugh about that. I have no idea how to help you or I would. But..."Wintermule"!
*Ahem* Welcome to the forums, friend. Some of us are knowledgeable, and others of us are just here for laughs and fellowship. Guess which I am

the disk 4 problems only happens if you are playing from the dvd version,on the dvd disk you have created look for full install & use this version & your problems are solved.

I you don't want install the hd version there is no option other than just putting disk 4 in your drive. thats what wintermute suggested on a prvious post when I posted the same error. H e was going to look at it but that was over a year ago

I tried playing uakm with dosbox after i copied the files over with that program but it still tells me to insert disk 2.

UAKM is the easiest to run out of the three, you might not have labelled the disk right. You can just copy the data files to the moon folder, I found no errors when playing the game. You just make sure you just copy the files in the data folder.
The other option is doing the hard disk full install & playing from the hard drive only.

When I try the hard disk full install and I type n moon.exe in dosbox it says "no cd-rom drive available, aborting the game".

thats because you need to mount a cd/dvd drive in the config file of dos box. You just put it in the drive even though you will not be using it.

its just the mount command that you have in dos box, followed by
c:\
cd\moon

I typed in "mount d d:\ -t cdrom" but it still says to put the cd in. Also do I label the folder MOON or DISK1?
