"Tex Murphy - Project Fedora" is now live on Kickstarter.
Yes please be careful. I have looked around at these discissions, and these types are very, lets say, "special". There are many in forums who like to hurl abuse at what they consider outsiders. And this is not only true about gaming communities. There are a lot of kids out there with strong opinions. And we are just som old guys, wanting another old guy back
By the way, I am 39 and am not feeling old at all!!

I don't have a Gamespot account but if you mean another was created since awhile ago then that might actually make it the 6th thread on GameSpotDemonlawyer wrote:PLEASE read what's already there. Someone has managed to post a new thread on Gamespot that hits all the notes they have already said they don't like and don't want to hear. This is despite the two existing threads with already heated debate.

So yeah I agree... definitely search incase someone already made a thread you can just bump up/support. So far noone has actually said anything against the Kickstarter or Tex Murphy, they just want it to be contained in 1 thread and for it to not come across as a hit and run which is understandable.

I've got an idea:
Why don't we wait until next Friday when Gamespot will have their "This Week on Kickstarter" article that mentions Tex, then we can hit up the message board in support?
From the Kickstarter comments section (currently page 4):

@SouLifter I talked to the Kickstarter posts' author of gamespot. He said he'll include it on next week's post.

Well from what I've heard, gamespot will be doing something on Tex next week, so that will hopefully help things.
-----
In short, don't tick Gamespot off by posting on their boards until after the door is open to truly do so. After this article, it won't matter if you've posted a billion times, or if you're starting a new account. You'll be able to show your love and support for Tex on their forums (within reason) without being seen as the bad guys.

Hey, I've found out that recently that CJ plays piano like a boss. I think it would be nice if he posted an update just playing a song and nothing else. Something pretty. I don't know if that's a bad idea or not.
So I do most of my talking to Courtney at BFG rather than bother the boys (you guys can, but I can't). You can use the contact form on the BFG site to do that.
I can get annoying energetic and verbose sometimes.Jerry Dan wrote: I have written messages to Chris and Aaron right from the Kickstarter page 3 separate times, and received very prompt replies. Please do that - they listen, and they need the help! There is a "send a message" link right on the main project page.
Extended version of Hot and Cold with more lyrics please!!joliet_jane wrote:Hey, I've found out that recently that CJ plays piano like a boss. I think it would be nice if he posted an update just playing a song and nothing else. Something pretty. I don't know if that's a bad idea or not.

I was doing a live stream of Under a Killing Moon Day 1 last night (my night anyway
), and had this strange idea...
What if they could make a quick-mini "choose your own adventure" in YouTube?
This is very similar to what Cubase did in the end of his (absolutely brilliant) video (the links to the pitch YouTube video and KS).
Your selections would be 1 out of 3 options that hint at the tone of the response, and you'll see the result in the next linked YouTube video (giving a feel for the conversation paths in the Tex games).
This can generate a small buzz as I don't think this was attempted before in a KS, and it perfectly suits the Tex genre.

Someone did that "3 options" thing at the end of their Blooper Reel for their Tex Murphy kickstarter tribute video:

sbenrap, you can use http://www.texmurphy.com now to link to the Kickstarter (just noticing your Justin/Twitch title with the longer Kickstarter url).
