Interesting Trivia from AC

Well I could argue that Jim... Where does it show that it is a 2nd or 3rd story floor??? We don't see Tex climb any steps to get there nor do we see anything more than about 4 feet of space from the Window to the bottom of the screen... It could have just been a slightly elevated building... I've walked up hills that didn't seem all that big going around a building, but then had to take an Elevator to get back to the floor I would have been on had I just went in the back of the building...

The Alley behind the Warehouse could have been slightly downhill from the front of the building causing it to be only about an 8 foot drop from the window... A drop that wouldn't have done anything worse than made his Coat dirty from the tumble once he hit the ground... Also, since we don't see the actual jump, he could have very well jumped into a Dumpster breaking his fall...

Ahhhh, so many possibilities... I'm with you Jim, I love it... lol

Okay I beg to differ here. If there was a dumpster there's no guarantee it would provide a soft landing for Tex. It could have been filled with leftover wood from crates, sharp metal pieces, broken window panes, etc.. Unless the dumpster was outside a pillow factory, the odds are there wouldn't be something soft for him to land in and walk away without injury (btw, I think Mythbusters did this myth last season)

As for the Colonel, I could believe he'd be okay if he was immediately rushed to the hospital right after the attack. However they describe as if a lot of time had happened between the attack and Tex getting him to the hospital. First he blacks out so he can't tell how long it's been, Then he talks to Tex for a while, and then finally Tex gives us exposition the Colonel finally gets taken to the hospital.

I'm told if you have a heart attack, time is of the essence to get you medical help as soon as possible. I can't imagine you can dilly dally when you've got a knife in the chest close to your heart. Now if he had been stabbed in the back, the side or the leg, I could have believed he could have waited a bit.

I saw the Mythbusters you speak of and I do believe that the conclusion was, if the dumpster was filled with common day to day garbage that it does in fact lessen the impact of your fall and you could survive a 40 foot drop into a 6 foot by 8 foot dumpster...

But you pick one small part of my statement to pick apart... As I said, the fall could have been as little as 6 to 8 feet... So unless the dumpster is filled with Spikes, I don't think he would suffer harsh injuries...

Besides, rarely have I set foot into a Storage Warehouse that was above 2 floors high... And I have been in many Warehouses...
It isn't easy to get Forklifts up steps and there were 2 of them in Malloy's Storage area...

As for the Colonel, the game is set in 2042, can you predict or even imagine the Medical Advantages we'll have in 2042???
Also, I can speak from Experience that once can have a wound/surgery one day and properly tended to, you can sit and have a conversation the next day without the person you are talking to having any clue whatsoever...
Also, we have no idea how long after the Moonchild destruction the meeting between Tex and the Colonel even takes place... We are assuming that it is the day after, when it could very well have been well over a week or two even...

I will concede that warehouses don't have that many floors so maybe the drop was a short one. Of course if Tex got seriously injured that would put a big damper on the game. :)

Well there is a spot in Pandora where you can get shot in the leg... I would call that a Serious Injury...
Oh and getting Blown Up, that's kind of serious...

And that beating in UAKM by the Chameleon, Tex ends up without a mark to show for it... I can understand having a creme in 2042 that reduces the swelling, but you can't tell me that he didn't get not one cut or bruise from that Pipe... He nailed him pretty good, I can't imagine Tex not taking any Serious damage from that...

It being a waterfront warehouse, I always imagined he just jumped in the water.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
You see I could go along with that, but having the other building right there when he jumped out, to think that there is a little water way right there in between, just a little hard to believe...

I'm gonna have to replay that scene and make sure I take a good look at everything...

I always thought he jumped in the water too.
