Hey guys, when I said "whoever replies next" I meant next as in literally next. So there could be any variations of the letters R,T, N,L and E in the answer. I'd like to give everyone a chance with these recent developments first before another interactive.

But then - when you say there could be any variation of R T N L and E in the answer, do you mean that all these letters are actually in it? Or one? Or two? Or what? Is it worth me sitting here making words out of these letters...oooh....

Sorry, thought my jokes would be obvious. It could be any way for each letter with the exception of S, because we know it's 0. Example for R: 1 R, 3 Rs, No R. In other words: (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9...). Does that help?

R=0+ is a HINT?! I see how a simple yes/no can continue this game, but that? That means NOTHING to me.
You said earlier this would be wheel of fortune style. In Wheel of Fortune, you can see how many words there are and how many letters in each just by counting black tiles. It's kind of like Hangman in that respect. In the bonus round, players are defaultly given the letters R S T L N E (look familiar?) and are able to add 3 consonants and a vowel to that toward guessing the word. And, they are notified if a letter called is not in the puzzle.
So far, you haven't even given us a good Jeopardy question, much less followed the rules of Wheel of Fortune, in a game that's already stretched on for a MONTH! The purpose of you giving hints is to help people come closer to the answer, not further mire them in confusion. Either give people some REAL answers to their REAL questions, or call this game off, because the way you've run it thus far has not been fun. And what's the point of playing a game that ain't fun?

I meant Wheel of Fortune in terms of having to actually answer the answer, which was in reference to a reply, but decided later on to give people a boost. What I'm trying to saying to say is that as of now the only letter you can eliminate from the answer is S. Having said that I'm reluctant to give hints, but have come to the conclusion that this is dragging so I will give people an opportunity to find out about a vowel. In terms of difficulty I'll also throw out that no one is limited to one answer per reply.
Hint #7 To the first person who replies requesting a vowel I will say whether or not their first choice is in the answer. And because of sometimes the first person can also choose from Y.

I do get where Hammerhead is coming from a bit, I have been participating from the very first and all that has happened is that you have confused me more as we have gone on.
Actually I am probably the most avid responder but I have to say with the last couple of posts I have lost my drive somewhat. And I really like puzzles.
When you confirmed R you can then not make it available a zero number of times. That is a bit loony - it's either there or it isn't.
Anyway, I said Y before and I'll say Y again.
You should really not allow more than one guess per person either.
It's up to you of course, but I am a bit dejected...

Picture a game of hangman where only the letter S has been eliminated and no one has made any other guesses. That's where we're at on the letters. My joke was meant to be a polite way to tell Hammerhead he was overreaching, when he asked me for 5 additional letters, without spinning so to speak. But really, hints will be given out at my pace. There is no Y. Therefore, no information has been revealed about the other 24 letters.
As for no more than one guess per person. You want a rule where no one can make consecutive guesses? Consider it done.

When you can choose to eliminate a vowel, you never choose Y. You choose either A or E, as they are more common and eliminates more options, narrowing your choices further.
What I want to know is, are we looking for a single word, or an actual phrase and/or sentence.
If you want to boil it down a bit - are we looking for one word or several?

The fact that we are playing hangman only happened very late on in this post. And as to what vowel I chose I believe that is my business.
Anyway I am starting to dislike the tone of this little darling quiz. Perhaps my best move would be to leave you guys to it, I'm sure you'll do just fine without me.

Please do not ascribe your personal feelings to text you might happen to read. More often than not, you choose to ascribe negative connotations to what you read.
Case in point; I was not angry with you. I am not annoyed. I do not care about this quiz, or the answer to it, as it does not impact my life. I merely stated the golden rule of Hangman. Yet you chose to view it in a negative light, assuming that I was berating you for making some sort of wrong choice.
As an aside, anthropomorphism, connotation and assumption make dangerous bedfellows. It is usually preferable to keep these at arm's length.

To everyone - It's unfortunate if things are being taken out of context, as this was not my intent. We're not playing Hangman either, I was just using it as a descriptive aid. This is in a sense a hybrid game where I'm happy to clear up public domain. However, I realize my style may not be for everyone, so I totally understand if people want to sit out. What I mean by that is I'm hesitant to disrupt the intellectual process, as I have total confidence that this can be solved by the community with the hints provided. But I'd never say never to some boiling.
