"Tex Murphy - Project Fedora" is now live on Kickstarter.

We're roughly on the same spot as yesterday. We got a few late-time high bids yesterday though.

We need to figure out a way to advertise this thing... We seem to have hit a stall and it isn't looking good...

I just can't believe that more people want Leisure Suit Larry more than they want Tex... And a Remake at that, it isn't even going to be an original game to add to the series, it is going to be the very first game, which was quite short... AC and CJ are asking for the same amount and offering a much, much bigger and original game... People just don't make sense...

I knew such a late date was gonna hurt them... People have already put money into those other games and now they don't have it to put into Tex... The launch should have been mid April instead of mid May...

All the articles, all the Best of Games lists that Tex is on, all of the hype people give Tex and we're stalled at 57%??? I just can't understand it...
I just can't think of any other reason than the Launch date... They launched behind all these other games who got hundreds of thousands...

Starting to get very depressed...

It's way too early to despair. Looking at JJ's Pinkerton Road, she has been, on average, under 7k a day for the near totality of the campaign. We seem to be in a much better position now than she was after 8 days. I mean, she was at 97k a week after the campaign start.

The one thing she had going for her however were a higher number of backers. There has to be a way to attract larger numbers, but I'm not sure this can come from the community, or to what extent anyway. I'm really hoping for a PR boost before we hit the 15 days mark.

I don't know that we've completely stalled yet, but we are growing at a slower rate than I'd like. Another big day of 5% or so would make me feel much more comfortable. But, I think that as the deadline approaches the pledges may pick up some steam.

Ya I don't get it. With Leisure Suit Larry, their slowest day had 206 backers. For Tex, 4 out of the first 8 days have had less than that. They had almost 6000 backers by day 8. :(

Could you imagine if we had 14 000 backers?

Where are all these people that are willing to pledge $15 for a remake, when they could get a brand new game of considerably more content for the same pledge.

Don't get me started on Wasteland 2. 61 000 backers!!!! Seriously?
what`s wrong with wasteland 2?

No no, there's nothing wrong with it. I just can't believe there are that many more RPG fans out there than adventure game fans.
There are more backers for LSL because there is a better prospect of boobies. I say, for the next Project Fedora update, some clothes need to be taken off. I'd prefer it to be a girl doing it... but seeing as a lot of adventure fans are female, Aaron could take one for the team!

I think it would be very interesting if Kicktraq had the ability to do comparisons between Kickstarters. Say if you could pick three campaigns and it would overlay the graphs so that you could see how they compare.

Well....hmmm, no, I doubt Aaron'd wanna get any implants for the good of the game. Maybe they could hire that one gambler guy.
