Yes, that's a good idea. There are heaps of clips you can grab right from the DVD and import straight into your video editor. Just be sure to de-interlace them first!

I got my copy from GOG, lol. Hence, I think, the issues. It will record gameplay, but not the FMV's.

And I always de interlace, lol. :)

I think I'm good with what I got. Thanks though! I thought there wasn't going to be enough content... now there's just too much to fit into a 2:00min video.

the gog version video's are only cd version by smaker so you would be better to use mpeg2 files from the dvd

okay guys, this was extracted from the dvd & just added the .vob extension & then converted to wmv. Just think after all these years the video looks so good. Shame the decoder available then failed us.

Hmm...I wonder why everyone is having issues with the audio in mine. It was definitely lower than I wanted it to be, but I haven't had any problem turning my speakers up a little more than normal and hearing it decently. For those who have tried to watch it, does the music play, or is the whole audio track missing?

It's just REALLLY REALLY quiet. I could hear you only slightly at the beginning, with my speakers and youtubes volume turned all the way up, but in less than a minute I realized I wasn't hearing anything about a whisper level.

I think things are a little different from one computer to another, but I was one that was having problems too.
