At the moment, I've spent a couple hundred on poster printing supplies but, I could prolly spare a bit more for online ads.

OK. I'm going to do it. I'm going to buy an ad on The Spoony Experiment site. Spoony's a good guy, so I figure it's OK to spend money on Tex and him at the same time.
For a 160x100, 20 KB .gif image with 100 characters of text, it's $150 for one week and $250 for two weeks. Here's what those would be:
ad text wrote:TEX MURPHY needs you! Save the greatest FMV game ever and a great adventure game on Kickstarter!
I've already bought 2 weeks of this ad for $20 on
thecinemasnob.com, since it gets less views and costs less. Pending site approval.
So that's $330 I've spent on ads total. If anyone can PayPal me a contribution for the Spoony ad, please PM me. I'd be very grateful-- You don't have to.

Bah, forget "Blogads" and contribtions for now. I've gone with Project Wonderful. which is much cheaper at the moment. I have this ad at
thecinemasnob.com and
The Spoony Experiment :
And I put the ad on a handful of other sites too.

OK...
I love the cutout work! No one appreciates how tedious that is, even with a magic wand tool.
As for the text and Tex graphic, that could do with some shadows or blur. The sharpness of those colors don't blend with the other graphics well (It's so hard to describe what I mean). They need some anti-aliasing.
I also think you should remove the 'history" phrase and move up the Tex logo so it fits better. But, believe me, I really know how much of a
pain it is to try and get everything you want into one image. I'm not even good at it and it's still a pain.
As for me, I made another size banner for another site ad I bought. Anyone may use it:

Trilaan: Cool montage! I think the front Tex & Chelsee could be made darker / more contrasted though, they look a bit pale in comparison to everything else.
I agree with jane the fonts could be spruced up a bit. The style of the red font makes me think more of a horror game.
Do you have it as a layered file? I could add the fonts I used for my flyers (which copies from Big Finish a bit)

Yes, the photo montage is quite a piece of work! Well done. My only suggestion is the purple text is a bit difficult to read (but I do like that font), and the main red font is a bit "horror" genre.

I recognize the font as an Indiana Jones ripoff type. Which actually is OK, but it doesn't work as well when it's in red. An orange-yellow gradient color fits that typeface much better.

It's MUCH better than it was. Good job. Colors are still a bit too sharp. How do I explain... it needs to blend better... What do I mean? It's so hard to judge art.
But if you have no time for it, just carry on and use it. It looks better than before.

I still have a little time to work on it but I'm starting to wonder if it'll still be able to grab attention if I keep toning it down.

by my voice just
too flashy red and blue - out of tune with overall colour scheme

You know, looking at that poster makes me wish Jackson Cross hadn't died. Many people have their favorite Tex villians, but to me, he'll always be "hands down" the most powerful and evil guy from the series.
"So don't dick with me Murphy ... or I'll pull out my gun and blow your face off!"
"Now I know who you work for ... you work for the I.R.S.!"

Never be too picky around an artist. He'll throw his easel at you.
