I try to drop the Tex Murphy name when and where I can, and I've managed to do that in a recent interview.I'll post the link, but down toward then end I was asked who I liked to read. I was able to work Tex in there.

Ni-iiice, Mike! Two thumbs up! Good work!
As for writing, I have a question of my own. Does the time-pressure of having so much to do (you mention a full-time job and a family) help your creative flow? I mean, would you write as much and as well if you were unemployed and single?
I'm testing a theory here, see

I haven't finished reading the whole Bio yet, but had to jump in and ask what your attack & defense points were, and if you had a special ability when tapped.

Cause your picture looks JUST like a Magic the Gathering Playing card. (And I oughta know)
Nice article and website!!!!
Cheers on the next book breaking you through!
I remember getting mine Before the release date! (So cool!)
Take care, and great to see you posting!

I would get more written if I were single and unemployed but it wouldn't be as fun. My wife is a sounding board for much of what I write, and the kids are always coming up with different mystery themes for me or coming home with some story about one of their friends finding my website. I enjoy having a family with which to share my creativity. The goal is to become a full-time writer so I can finish all the projects that keep popping up in my head.

Hi Jen! Yeah, I don't post often enough. It seems I only venture in every couple months.
M&M pulled that card from Word Weavers, an author's group that originated on MySpace and is in the process of developing a set of trading cards. They're talking about a possible game since, you're right, the card idea was inspired by Magic.

At the moment, however, the cards are being used like ATC cards that artists pass out. I have a few that I just printed off at home that I'm going to pass out at a book signing in April, but I can't wait for the real thing to come out.
