...is the best word to describe what I (didn't) feel when I saw the official trailer for Pirates 3.
And here it comes, the part that made the rest of it a blank spot in my memory...
THEY USED A GODD*** F***** **** *********** ****** SOUNDCLIP FROM MONKEY ISLAND 3!!!
THAT MONKEY NOISE IS FROM CURSE OF MONKEY ISLAND AND THERE IS NO DISCUSSION!! IT'S THE FRAKKING NOISE YOU GET FROM THE FRELLING MONKEY ISLAND WINDOWS LOADER!!
May they forever burn in the seven hells of my dubious imagination for stealing outright that which is sacred!!
And for forcing me to go watch it as well... bastards...

And they're releasing it on May 25th, as direct competition to Spiderman 3. The second one was better than it's direct competition, Superman Returns, but Spiderman is a different ballpark.

Soooo....what's the problem? I mean, if they use a soundclip from MI3, to me that is a compliment to the music people. And, did they really steal it? Or, did they pay for the privilege? And ultimately, who cares? My 2 cents worth.

But... but... Monkey Island is the Lucasarts adventure games Holy Trilogy... you can't just go messing with holy trilogies, that leads to blasphemy and war and elevator music and garden gnomes on sale!

Oh you mean the one that was in System Shock 2.
Trust me, they all buy them from the same place (Skywalker Sound first made them and then sold them off I'm guessing)
The film actually looks pretty cool. About time they moved away from the Monkey Island rip-offs and actually create something original. I'm expecting that huge battle between the armadas to be crazy.. If its not - I got ripped off
