Unofficial Tex Murphy

Hi everyone, it's Joel, NO IDEA if you remember me, but i'm one of the few Australians on the board who used to post quite frequently on these boards in the 1990's. I still keep in touch with a few members from the board.

HOW HAVE YOU ALL BEEN? I've missed the whole Tex community and miss the gaming even more. Things look as though they have sadly dried up. I really really miss the 1990's, so much of popular culture back then was at its best including computer gaming, music, tv, film, Star Trek...i could go on, but I won't. I really miss adventure gaming, i mean, really badly. Recently Lucasarts have re-issued many of their old classics, I managed to get my hands on The Dig, Sam & Max (the original) and Dark Forces 2, all voiced versions. It just shows how much i've missed those days.

As for me...well, i'm now 22, still at University and commencing my Law degree and finishing up my Arts degree. I'm a little older and a little wiser, but at the end of the it all, still the same old Joel.

Any chats with AC or CJ coming up? Any further fan initiatives to revive Tex?

I'll do my best to keep in touch with the community, but I don't want to make any false promises as I am very busy, but I do miss you all and the good times!

Great to hear from you again, Joel. Best to you at uni and please visit often. A flash from the past is as good as a taco in the present. I know that makes no sense but I am terribly hungry for some Taco Bell.

Good to see youp osting... I know things have been slow, but it's good to see you (even though I speak to you mostly on MSN nowadays). Hey, I am still keeping my promise about having you lined up for an upcomming project (as with many other folks here).

Anyway, good luck with the Law degree... Arts and Law are a good combination (it might sound odd, but its true).

LOL, exactly, Arts and Law, the ultimate oxymoron. I promise I will do my best to stick around this time, it's hard but i will try. Thanks for the welcome guys
