The 5 finalists were Miss Korea, Miss Brazil, Miss USA, Miss Venezuela and Miss Japan, and Mori cleaned up first place.
What I found funny was 'Heroes' actor James Kyson who played Hiro's friend Ando asked miss Korea "What super power would you pick if you could have any"... that made me laugh.
It was a combination of beauty, cuteness and personality that gave Miss Japan the win, and you could see she really had a good fun loving flair and sense of humor. The other contestants took themselves a bit too seriously (and you could tell miss Venezuela was pretty pissed of when she only made 2nd runner up).
As for the qeustion as to why you would call it Miss Universe despite the fact that only Earth based contestants can participate: let's face it; Vulcans would get axed in the first round... we are just saving them the embarresment!

Also, she's hot! But that's like stating that the Atlantic ocean is wet, so... meh
