I just love Wikipedia

Have you ever just looked something up on Wikipedia just because you were curious? And then you've linked yourself across half a library's worth of information and suddenly - BAM! - there it is, the answer to a question you were wondering about six weeks ago? Or six months ago?

I love information, all handy and neat and giftwrapped and available like that.

Y'know, this all reminds me of a tv show, it was a kind of documentary, but differently layed out. Connections, I think I've mentioned this in another thread. It was a british show, hosted by James Burke, where he explained historical events and linked them across history in a web-like (although still very easy to understand) way.

I need to acquire Connections on dvd at some point. I remember laughing my ass off at his dry humor.

Oh I know. I'll go look on Wikipedia for more information! Hahah!

Yes Wikipedia is a nice place. There are a lot of haters out there, but I still believe that it has much more accurate than inaccurate.

If you like that sort of thing, another site you ought to check out is the Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy at
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/

Basically the same thing as Wikipedia but different.
