Is it like this for anybody else?

You come to the board several times a day. You see that no one has posted the first time, the second time, and all the way up to the seventh time you've checked. You now feel like you have some responsibility to post but you end up just clicking the X because you don't have anything really interesting to say.

Frequently. I've been gone for a week and a bit and there is nothing really new going on at the message bored. (Clever play on words there HIGH 5! . . . *cough*)

Oh wait I lied, I love Jen's avatar. I swear I get like that every time I am behind a computer.
Yes..that's me too Travis. I couldn't believe that no one had posted for almost 2 days in General. That The Latest, and Tex Support all got hits before that.

As for me, I'm heisitant to become a forum hog. Especially if a thread I've participated in goes dead.

So...let's see. I'm having fresh wild salmon and capers with a smidge of lemon juice for lunch as we speak. I'm going to have to go into work soon. But earlier today I found this great little park, and enjoyed the peace and quiet by the lake for awhile, catching whatever summer warmth and sun remains. (This has been a crappy summer weatherwise this year.)

What has everyone else here done fun this summer? Michel had a nice little holiday. Anyone else?

Trying to keep the board lively. And I really am interested about you guys. Always have been.

BTW Thanks Stu. It makes me chuckle everytime I see it. One eyeball, then 2. I probably won't keep it for too much longer. It is a bit macabre.
We need fresh Tex-related news.

Yep, I know exactly what you mean. But, are we pathetic or what, not having anything more interesting to say? Perhaps we should try harder. Maybe I should change my user name to Avis.
Never too late for coffee, never too early for beer.

Well, let's see. What was fun this summer? Well, there was. . .no, that wasn't all that fun. Then there was the time my wife brought this stuffed fish home and. . .no, that was rather mundane. Well, a couple of weeks ago my son and his phrenology teacher went on a field trip to the SPCA and. . .nah, just a field trip.

Oh, I know. . .my wife and I continue with our ballroom dancing and lessons. . .chacha, rhumba, samba, fox trot, swing, and bolero. Seriously, we love it!

Considering the condition of stasis in the Tex Murphy universe, this board has been incredibly active. I wish TheZorkLibrary had even half the acitiviy we have here.

You should all be very proud of the job you're doing, carrying the torch.
Don't leave yourself out of that Doc, it wouldnt be the same without you.

Lets see, this summer started out with me trying to be particularly lazy. Then about a month ago I started working on my book again, and I actually finished today (As in I got to the end of it, no where near finished.) But that and lots of laundry has pretty much been my summer.

I know I don't post as often as I used to. I don't know if that's because I really don't have much to say, or if I'm just too lazy. A bit of both most of the time. I've been spending my summer working, paying bills, and playing 360 games, although I've been doing a lot of World of Warcraft recently. I just did the trial, and I'm gonna go ahead and give it a buy. It's highly addictive. I'm only a lowly level 10 warrior now, but someday ... I'll have my own horse, and people will respect me... sniff ...

Other than taking care of my grandmother, I don't do much else except housework, and yard work.

I like coming around here and keeping up on the (admittingly sparse as of now) Tex news, and just reading about all the people with interesting lives, and professions. I don't post a lot sometimes, but I promise I visit almost everyday.
I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.
We need some more Tex news.
I started the summer out by getting a summer-job at a local laboratory. Then 3 weeks later I get a call about a steady job, which involves shifts round the clock, and I accepted. Since then I've been working at silly hours, really, and having very little social life, which is a shame.

Also, bought myself a 360 and have been playing Dead Rising and Bioshock.

NEVER! I always have something great to say :D
