Waiting Patiently

I was in an e-mail discussion with Al Lowe a few weeks ago about the status of his career, about games in general, and other such nonsense. I mentioned to him how much Chris Jones and Aaron Conners are trying their best to bring Tex back so they can finally finish their story. He was proud to know they were still attacking the idea.

Here we sit, still waiting patiently... we're such a small group honestly. Do you ever think outside the box of the game you want back so badly and realize just how small the market for Tex Murphy has become?

Basically, a new game would have to attract people. I wonder what the best method of attack on such an idea would be to at least be somewhat successful in the end. Otherwise what's the point? It'd be a pretty expensive hobby to continue the story with no customer base.

Just thoughts. Another one is that I hope Aaron stops by again real soon to let us know how things are going...even if he can't tell us details again. :)

I've waited almost 10 years for a Tex Murphy game. No reason to stop waiting now!

Cheers Everyone...

Oh and hey! If you're bored.. I made a video a couple days ago I was hoping to get some feedback on. Here's a link to it on Youtube:

I hope you likes it!!

cheers again!
Hi Overseer,
it's easily the most discussed topic here on the forums, so much so, it has hopes divided sadly. While Aaron has frequently shown his appreciation and praise to the fanbase, it's unknown as to the fate of Tex. Anything is possible. I believe we'll get one final Tex release, if we can at least conclude the events from the ending of Overseer, i'll be happy to see it but sad to see the series come to a stop.

On the other hand, look at all of these bands this year getting back together when they themselves proclaimed it would never happen:

Crowded House, The Police, Rage Against the Machine and Smashing Pumkins.

Just hang in there with us, Overseer.
Hey Bill,

Nice video, killer voice... and loved the song!

Keep uo the good work, as long as you keep them videos coming I don't mind waiting at all!

-Cub. =o)
haha, thanks much Cubase. I'm glad you liked that. I've got a ton of videos of me and/or my band performing on my Youtube channel. So feel free to surf around on it. :)
Admittedly, the future looks pretty grim for Tex Murphy. But you have to remember that Tex has been in far more dangerous situations before. We will just have to keep the faith in his unbounded resourcefulness, ingenuity, and downright stubbornness to win the day.

I really enjoyed you video. Reminded me a bit of Roy Orbison and that is high praise.
;) thanks drpaul!
Nice voice. I can hear the "Roy Orbison" quality Dr. Paul mentions.
Never too late for coffee, never too early for beer.
Wow dude, that *is* pretty impressive. I don't know the song, but the way you sang it made me like it! You're really, really good. And when it comes to the music business, my dad, my uncle, and a lot of my family have been in it. He's a really harsh critic, and even he said that was impressive. Good stuff!
I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.
