Darker Projects Audio presents: Tales from the Museum
An audio theater mini-series written by Charles Russell

Episodes 1-3 (out of 5 planned) are up at http://www.darkerprojects.com/tales_fro ... useum.html

The Regional Museum in Johnson City, Tennessee has been the site of some strange goings-on ever since it was first built. Legends surround the place: tales of murders, mysterious disappearances, and bizarre religious orders. Some of these were "documented" by a PBS special, but most are passed on by word of mouth. Most of the staff there doesn't believe a word of it ... but Special Services coordinator Keith Nash? He's starting to think ... well, he doesn't know what to think.

All in all, the museum is an interesting and challenging place to work ... and things keep happening to make it more interesting all the time.

Featured in the cast:
Perry Whittle as Keith Nash
Amanda Fitzwater as Helene Mancuso
Alasdair Stuart as Casey
and others

Original music composed by Joey Stuckey and Kevin MacLeod
This Series is produced by Elie Hirschman
Post-production by MJ Cogburn
Executive producer of Darker Projects is Eric Busby
No werewolves were harmed in the production of this series.

Might be a little spoilerific, so caution. I don't think I gave anything away though.

I just finished The Cult of the Serpents, and I must say I am very impressed. Whoever you have on special audio effects, you better never let them go. Because they are fabulous. I was listening through my high end over ear headphones, probably the only way I’ll do the next two episodes. The layers of sound, the attention to detail was amazing. The whispered conversations over the snakebite victim, the sound of the flames. It truly sounded like a breathing entity.

The music was perfect. Not intrusive while in the background, but dramatic and interesting while transitioning through chapters of the narrative.

The voice work was nice. My favorite was Helene, and Casey reminds me a little bit of Rook.
The dialogue didn’t grind to a halt in anyplace I could hear, and there were some funny moments. “Being awake really hurts right now, “ was one that I got a laugh out of.

This episode reminds me a little bit of Tex Murphy, and Young Sherlock Holmes.
Potty break and maybe some popcorn and onto episode 2.

And on a TOTALLY unrelated note. Hey Red sawks, how about saving some for the rest of the series? Whatchos think??
