I love the flash animation that's on James's site now, and forgive me if I'm rehashing previously covered material, but how much longer are we to remain in suspense, James? I'm dyin' here.

I really like the flash animation as well. How did you pull off to make that cool fog, James? I'd really like to know - or is it a government secret?

Ahh, grasshopper... you ask for my Flash secrets?

Well... I
could say that the fog was created with two Photoshop-rendered cloudbanks, with the Alpha channel brought down to around 40% and looped in a MovieClip... that's what I
could say... if I were to divulge such a secret... but you didn't hear it from me... *wink*
And as for when the site will be up, that day is drawing ever-and-ever closer. Up until recently, I have been at the mercy of work's and friend's computers, since my nearly 8 year old PC slows down to a choke on Flash and Dreamweaver. But I have recently come into posession of a brand new, shiny, Toshiba Tecra M4 Tablet PC, which I have dubbed "Penfold." Penfold and I are currently making up for lost time at every opportunity, and majorly-major progress is being made on an almost-daily basis!

Well, thank you for revealing your secret, James ... I'm well aware of the procedure now I think - or at least I have an idea of how to create something similar should I want to do so in the future sometime. The latest thing I did in Flash was just a kind of "fade-up" from a blurred image of a person to the real image - a neat feature although not that advanced

The only advanced thing (in my opinion) was when I made my personal online presentation / resume entirely in Flash. Now that was fun to make

Anyway - thanks for letting me know
Sounds great about the progress of the website - can't wait for it to come online

It is snazzy, and i can say that wasn't exactly how I had guess you had done that effect, James. But, nonetheless, it was excellent. Perhaps, we should all showcase some of our neater projects, as Cubase does from time to time. I'd show you all the Spectrum Analyzer I programmed at work, but that's government property

Well, you are all welcome to check out my online presentation. I have the link in my profile, so just take a look. I just doubt you'd get much out of it as it's all in Danish. For other work I can refer to my website about a Swedish dance-artist called E-type (
http://www.etype.dk) ... I'm currently redesigning that website but time is pretty much the thing I lack most of these days

I think if I dig around I can find the Flux Capicitor I built a few years ago in a bin of old car parts...

Good to hear the site is still coming along nicely. Congrats on your new snazzy computer too!
