Okay, been meaning to type this down for a long time...

So. Youse guys who wanna come in here and talk with us, join the board, become a member of the community... Enter the family.

We're not a bunch of weird, psycho, pedantic or even narrow-minded people with a skewed sense of How-Things-Should-Be.

This is more than a internet forum to some of us. It's an extended family of brothers, sisters, fathers (and a great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather, lol!) and a mother hen. Hey, that rhymes!

My point here being is that we welcome all, and we treat everybody fairly, but we don't treat them like boardmembers. We treat them like guests in our house. If you can see it from that angle, you would see how and why people react to certain statements the way they do. It's only natural then, that we do not speak of upsetting themes or topics in the house of thy brother. And no, we're not a sect either :D

What we are is family, no less. As soon as you learn to use tactfulness and leave certain topics be, things will be easier. To give a metaphor (or is that analogy?) to what I mean, you don't go to your brother's house for christmas dinner and bring up what an ugly skank his wife is. Even if she is. If you love your brother, you let him live with his choices, it's his life.

My point is - Keep negativity to yourself, and spread some love instead.

We do.

And it shows.

You're all still fans of Tex, and therefore all very, very welcome here. But please, keep it civil as you would be a guest in the home of one of your loved ones. Suddenly you'll see the attraction to coming here and being a part of such a wonderful, caring group.

Peace!

-Fred

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
awwwww....

to be honest, this is indeed one of the great pluses of Tex's games. They created a community like no other!

You are right in every way. Just goes to show how lucky we are to have you around.

Awesome! :D

Although my last birthday went by and nobody mentioned anything...

Good Words, but not all can think alike... If everyone were the same, there would be no need for message boards or conversation...

There is always room for Disagreement... But from what I've seen, people tend to carry things from one Thread to a another...

People can seem like enemies in one Thread, but turn around and be Allies in another... There is no cause for bloodshed...

I'm sorry. I guess I shouldn't have stopped the birthday thing. Maybe I'll start it up again. (((((birthday hugs for Vracar)))))

Yes, I'll agree, Fred is awesome!
When was it? I have been looking out on the board for birthdays today but sorry I missed it.

I've been on here every day, but I haven't seen anything about it being your B-Day in the Birthday Section of the Index... Make sure you have your Birthday Date in your profile so that it comes up in the B-Day Section so we can give you the Thread you deserve when it is your B-Day...

Cheers!!!
Sorry we missed you on your Day... :(

Yes, screw the outside world, let nobody penetrate the outer walls of Chandler Avenue. Now rejoice the leader! lol
I kinda feel like the neighbor that borrowed your lawn mower last summer and didn't bring it back, so when you talk to him, it's weird because neither one will acknowledge it and it's a chess battle of wills....I totally lost where I was going with this joke...somewhere around lawn mower and last summer...hmmm

Amen, Fred, and well stated.
