I was just wondering if there's anyone counting down the arrival of GTA 4 for the PS3 and XBOX at the end of the month? I might actually check this one out. I was disappointed with GTA 3, it just didn't have the polish or the feel that I expected. My favourite has always been GTA 2, but the fourth installment that's coming may have something to offer.

I will probably check it out if it ever finds its way to the PC.

Oh man, did I love the multiplayer version of the first GTA. The only game I could kick my buddies' collective butts in. And good.

Say, Joel, when you say GTA 3 didn't have polish, do you mean GTA 3, or GTA San Andreas, which is really the fifth GTA?

I use to work for a Networking company and we closed right at Rush Hour, so we would play Games for an hour or so and let traffic die down... We loved playing GTA on the Server, we also played Unreal... GTA was our favorite though, FRAG, Yeah Baby... lol
Haven't really played it since... I dabbled with part 3 a bit, but just didn't get into it... I'm not on pins and needles waiting for part 4... Probably won't even bother to spend the money on it until the price comes down... Just don't think it is worth it any more... I use to buy games as soon as they came out, a month later and the price would drop by 20 bucks... So I said to hell with rushing the shelves as soon as games come out... I'll probably end up with it, but not as soon as it comes out...

Playing the GTA games, I can understand the reason behind the decline in literacy rates in children.

If I actually had a PS3, then yeah, I would be hella excited to get this game bacause I have all the other games in the series. Personally, my favorite to date is Vice City. I love the storyline and the game play and the soundtrack kicks ass too! )

I used to play the very first one on the PC when I lived in Nashville....all I would do is drive around until I saw the line of hare-chrisnas (sp) and try and run over all of them with one quick pass...and on the screen it would say in big letters "GOURANGA!!!" lol...good times.

For me, Vice City was the best in the franchise, with the original GTA following up soon behind. I have to admit though, GTA looks really nice, and the multiplayer modes actually sound fun. I never thought multiplayer could be fun in this age of everything online having to be competitive to the point of a second job (i'm a World of Warcraft player, i recognize the irony).

Yes, I have XB360/PS3/PSP/DS system.
Just choose PS3 for GTA 4 b/c DLC for XB just some extra nify sidequest and so forth.

I haven't gotten ahold of Wii since its still sold out for long time.:\

Damn, 90 bucks out there in Colorado??? Normally games don't go above 50 around here...
Even pre-ordering the games won't cost you more than 50...

I got my Wii at Toys R Us... Just asked the girl behind the counter if they had it, she got all quiet like, got on the phone and talked in whispers, then she went into the back and then came back out with it tripled bagged so you couldn't see what was in the bag...

Felt like I had just bought government secrets, it was weird...

Yeah, but if you don't play it on the X-Box 360 you won't get any achievement points!

Yeah, what vracar said. And not only that you'll miss out on the exclusive content on Xbox Live! Like .. like ... gamer pictures ... and ... themes! Don't forget the themes!

I've got it on preorder for my 360.

It's a good thing this game comes out before Mafia II though, because Mafia II looks like a dream come true. It could potentially have just about everything I want from that kind of game.

I'm also looking forward to L.A. Noire.
