Happy Birthday! You know, it's funny, but I hate my birthday anymore. God I hope you guys actually get some enjoyment out of yours. Just remember Gary, the cake is a lie. It's a lie!

I agree....the birthday cake is nothing more than a mirage in a barren desert which represents your hopes of a fun filled day of celebration which just turns out to be some dude who got invited to your party by mistake who you've never met before in your life and he ends up getting drunk and throwing up in your kitchen sink during the festivities.

And no, I'm not bitter. At all.

Hey, everybody, thanks for the nice thoughts.

I'm really enjoying my birthday. Right now, I've grilling out some ribeye steaks, corn on the cob, and baked potatoes. I love grilling out. I'm a charcoal bigot, mind you. I enjoy the whole ritual of making the fire, etc.

Later on, my loving wife and I will be going to the Cincinnati Symphony concert. Pinkas Zukerman will be playing the Bruch violin concerto. It's a sellout. It will be an electric evening.

Oh, BTW Jen, how many candles on YOUR cake?
