What's the word around here on how I can procure a copy? I can't seem to find any on the internet. Could I play it on XP anyway?

Well, I found the game. What's the best way to get it to run on XP?

Dosbox is by far your best option for this, and you shouldn't have much trouble with it either. http://dosbox.sourceforge.net

I just ran it on xp and it ran just fine  Didn't need dosbox or anything. Even the sound came through great. I was real bored last Friday, so I pulled it up and started playing. Ah, great memories............

I just opened the folder that had the program and ran mm.exe. It opened a dos box window and loaded the program. One issue is that it doesn't load the midi music. But the sound effects, and the talking come through just fine.

Other than that, I couldn't tell ya. Jim, I'm almost just as old you, so when it comes to XP I'm in the dark. But give me an old 286 with DOS...Ah, the good ol days....

Does the talking in that game come through on the PC speaker like it did with Mean Streets?

Thanks,

Hey Sperf - I really hate asking dumb questions but they just come naturally. Do I have to download dosbox? Is it free? I like free stuff, ya know.

I'll take that question, Jim, and raise you a link on the interweb. Here is the site to download dosbox, and yes, it is free.

Thanks, Vracar.

Hey! You changed your avatar! Cool! I'm going to change mine as soon as I can get my hands on a good, clear pic of a bottle of Geritol. If you get one, let me know.

OK - so I go to the link from Vracar and there are 12 downloads listed under the heading "DosBox". Which one do I DL? Sorry for being a pest but I'm just not good at computer stuff.
