Fedoras everywhere

Well it might not be Tex's one, but here's a link to buy Fedoras from the Indiana Jones website.

And if you want to change the icons on your computer to indy stuff, including the icon of a fedora, click here...

I went to school with a girl called India Jones, we all called her Indiana. I bet she's fed up of this already....

Put a different band on that (thin and leather), and it's looks remarkably close to Tex's fedora.
eBay use to be cheaper, but now that the new movie is about to be released they are about the same... Some places on eBay have Free Shipping though... Most of the Fedoras on eBay are in the high 30s...

If you have a Myspace account you can add Indiana Jones to your friends list and be entered to win some sort of Indiana Jones Dream Adventure Getaway...
It gives you icons and wallpapers as well...

Fedoras are a big part of Blues Brothers cosplay too, and I've done that twice before. They're referred to in the movie as "porkpie" hats, but that's not what they are. The classic BB hats have much narrower brims than the Indy and Tex hats.

So I wonder which one is the real "fedora"?
What do you mean the "Real" Fedora???

The blues brothers wear trilbys.

Though when I went shopping at M&S yesterday they had a whole range of hats and not one of them had their names on. They were all just 'hats'

As in, which hat is a "true" fedora-- it's a little confusing

Maybe that's it
Technically, a fedora can be any hat with a crown and a "wrap-around-brim". Fedoras from the 1930's-1950's are marked by wider brims (generally 2-3") while the 1960's had stingy brims (less than 2").

From what I can tell, the definition of a fedora is pretty lenient. Some even consider the stingy-brimmed things you find at Hot Topic and other places fedoras.

Yes..I'm a nerd when it comes to fedoras... :D

When we moved last weekend my wife found some old hats I used to wear. One of them is a black fedora. So cool. I put it on and tried my Tex impersonation, the one where Archie looks through the blinds and CJ makes that famous move, turning his head slowly. OK, I'm not Tex, but it was fun just the same.

I had one around here somewhere, I believe the brim was almost 4 inches out from the dome of the hat... Wish I knew where it ended up... Wife probably put it away with some wardrobe items...
