If I had it my way, I would never own a mobile phone. I really don't see the need for them. What did we do before them? I only have one because when I left school and started going out more, my parents insisted that I have it so I am contactable and if I am out late at night, I can order a cab.

But I just get so many innane calls from my parents. Don't get me wrong, I love them to bits, but sometimes.....grrrrrrrr

Example:

"Joel, what time will you be home?"

"Joel, there's a Rolling Stones special on the Ovation channel!"

"Joel, where are you now?" "Down the street", "Which one?" "Johnson", "where?" "ummmm...."


"Joel...when you get home the hallway light doesn't work..."

This makes no sense... the damn phone itself emits a small amount of radiation/microwave.

which makes me worried as I'm surrounded by them 24/7. If they are anything like Gremlins I'm in deep $#it .

I really don't see the need for them. What did we do before them?

We used to get stranded late at night in the rain and have to walk a couple miles to a gas station to use a pay phone. Only to find when we get there that we don't have any change and then have to beg for a dime to make a call. Or maybe we have an accident in the middle of nowhere and bleed to death while waiting for a passerby notice and, hopefully, find a phone somewhere and call an ambulance. Or you're a girl driving home at night and a car is following you and keeps banging into the back of your car, or trying to run you off the road...

There are a million potential horror stories in which a cell phone can help. Hopefully you won't need one.

We wouldn't be an Advanced Race if we didn't Radiate ourselves a little each day... We are preparing ourselves for when we really screw this planet over and have Radiation Hot Spots all over the place... We all won't be Immune like Tex...

Oh, I've been convinced for some time that my cell phone is actually laying eggs deep within my inner ear cavity leading to my brain day in and day out. but anyways sadly i got one too a lg vieuwty now but sadly we cant live without em anymore it seems some kids have like 5 and they want a new one becouse well its NEW. i only got one becouse im invalid "there i said it" and dependent on transportaion by others. sadly.

Michel...you are not an invalid. You are VERY "valid" as far as I'm concerned. Visually impaired maybe.... and a goofball like the rest of us? Most certainly.
