It was still a beautiful day.

Yesterday I finally got the results I had been going to the doctor a couple of months for. I found out that I had Hodgkin's disease, which for those of you don't know is a cancer of the lymphatic system.

When I found the news out I had no fear, no resentment, no anger. I was and still am calm. I know that most of you don't believe in any god. But I feel that the spirit of the Lord which has been strengthened in me over the past couple of months is the reason I feel so peaceful about all of this.

From my readings, Hodgkin's disease has a very high cure rate. So don't worry about me. I am going to be fine.

Whoa... I hope things do improve.
It's healthy that you have a good attitude about it.
I'm glad you're staying positive, the body pumps a lot of positive stuff into itself when happy and not stressed. If anything, from your posts, you always seem entertaining and its nice to hear you'll be keeping that spirit. I'm naturally very sorry to hear that this issue has befalled you, I am happy to hear that there is highly successful support for such an issue and I wish you all the very best in recovery.
All the best to you.

Really sad to hear that, and it´s hard to say something good now.
But I have to say that I´ve got great respect for the attitude you show, dealing with this.
It´s good to hear about the cure rate and I wish you all the best there can be!!!
I'm with you, pal. We all are.
Never too late for coffee, never too early for beer.
Sorry to hear the News wasn't Nothing like we were hoping for in the other thread... But I've know a couple of people with Hodgkins, and they are all Survivors today, so I have the highest hopes for you...

Let us know if there is anything we can do... You are in our thoughts and in the prayers of those who believe in Prayer...

Can I have your Tex collection?

If you have dark humor, I just made you smile. If you don't, then I'm sure you'll enjoy givin' me the kickin' I so righteously deserve.

Actually, I have no idea what that disease is or does. But cancer always sounds bad no matter where it sits and lurks. Hope you kick it that crap out on it's face. And from your tone, I expect you will.

Regardless, I'm glad to hear you can stay positive throughout it. Have no doubts, we'll be here if you need us.

Good luck bud.

I'm with the rest of the family in wishing you the best. Yes, PMA and faith can go a long way to enhance the healing process.

Fred! That was soooo cruel! And very funny!

Also, I don't think I would've gambled on it lest I felt safe about how Freep would handle it.

Cancer jokes. That's the expression of the week!

Maybe we can start Cancer Greeting Cards...."Cancer Greeting Cards, the perfect way to tell someone you care after you find out about an inheritance."
