Do you think Tex will ever rise from the dead? I sitting here drinking my favorite scotch (Chevas) and wondering am I just dreaming of having Tex back? I love listening to Jazz when I am kind of down, and wish that I could start a new adventure with my old bud Tex. The Babe (my Wife of 25 years) crashed my machine. now for most of us that is bad.... But, when I told her that might be good, for I could start the whole entire game(s) over again. UNTKM would be a start. Now it's been a long time and I am sure I would remember most of every adventures, but it might seem good again to go through it again. I know that Bill is gone so maybe the Tex group could try to buy the rights again and start over...Look Sam and Max came back. How about if Max was a new monthly adventure of continuation....sort of the serial adventure from yester- year?

Oh, I guess i will go back to the Scotch, and dream again of Tex..."here's Looking at you kid!" Missed you...

It could happen. Tex isn't dead, he's in cryo-stasis.

Gee, thanks for the update. I am now starting to get excited that AC will be putting out a new game. How did I miss that forum? But, thanks for putting me straight. Now maybe he can't come back from the dead except if he.....becomes a vampire slayer....no that's been done before!

Well he may be working on a new game but unless I read his post wrong its not Tex. So in fact Tex is still resting quite soundly. I truth I think the time for a real tex game has come and gone with the passage of time. Perhaps one day they can find a way to do some sort of episodic thing on the web with voice acting, but a true FMV Tex is probably 100% over.


I guess we cant get too upset we did at least get 5 very nice games. And they play quite nicely once every couple of years or so.

Tex will return. Even if it's only for one last adventure, but I truly believe he will return (and the radio theatre really inspires that belief - it's all there waiting to happen).

The radio theater did provide a lot of hope but that was almost 7 years ago. (Didnt the last installment come out in 2001?)

I would in some ways like to see Aaron and Chris put a cap on this at some point. We have now been waiting 10 years since Overseer. Perhaps just set a deadline of 2 more years and if its not in production (a new game) then release the story either in a online blog, book, or whatever.


I just hope in another 5 or 10 years I wont be reading posts that say the same things that the series is still dead, and Aaron and Chris are still working to get it made. I really hope by that time we have already played the new game or at least have been let in on where they had planned to take tex.

AC promises to give us an Ending to the Series... How and When are the only Questions... Until he comes crawling on his knees begging forgiveness because he is going back on that promise, then Hope Lives on for a Final Installment of Tex Murphy...

If they wait too much longer, Tex will be back looking like the Colonel!

That's been my argument about it as well Doc... I figure they got maybe another 5 to 10 years at most before CJ starts looking too old for the part, unless of course age is very kind to him, which it has been so far...
