Return of the Retro 8-bit Blue Boy!

It would seem that Capcom is doing the retro thing and making Mega Man 9. In 8-bit.

Intro cinematic to the new game in this link:

It's the old days!

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
I know I am stoked about it! The only thing that concerns me is it like MM2-3 or is it like the later ones like MM5-6 which were . . . less than spectacular. Keeping my fingers crossed it's good and can't wait to download it on the Wii.
If it's five dollars, and I'm really bored, then I might buy it. That said, just because they wanted the retro feel doesn't mean it had to look like crap. Capcom is being nothing but a lazy profit monger on the release of Mega Man 9. *grumbles*

It's not crap. It's 8-bit.

I've got Mega Man 2 and 3 on my NES. Too cool for school.

8-bit in a next gen world is crap. They could have at least made the graphics decent, with the classic gameplay. Kind of like the New Super Mario Brothers on the DS.

I've still got just about the whole series... MegaMan is just too awesome...

Though they weren't really like the Traditional MegaMan, I did like the 2 Legend games they came out with for Playstation in 3D...

I disagree with you Vracar. I think it's kinda nice to relive my childhood with a "proper" new 8-bit game. Of course, I won't get off the hook completely until I actually try it, but, I'm definitely looking forward to it! It's like being 12 again!

I have to lean with Fred... For us old timers it's nice to have something new in what we were most familiar with... And the fact that they did it with MegaMan just makes it all that much sweeter...
