If you could live in the Tex universe and...
If you could live in the Tex universe and choose your own mutation what would it be?
An elephant trunk would be pretty badass, but I would prefer elephant feet. So that when I ran the earth would shake around me.

A physical mutation eh?
Hmm I would probably like a couple of extra arms. Imagine being able to eat dinner AND play Playstation 8 at the same time!
But if I wanted to go more down the subtle road I would probably pick a set of eyes at the back of my head, which would be concealed by hair. Or perhaps a tail for balance.

I'd like to have the colour of my eyes change depending on the environment surrounding me. So if it's an overcast, wintery day, the could go a bright blue colour tinged with some yellow. On the more sunnier and brighter days, they could go dark. Trouble is, if my workplace ever impliments retinal ID as a means of accessing the building, i'd have trouble getting in.
I'd go for the ability to move physical objects with my mind.
Or, failing that, shapeshifting, like mister the Chameleon.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!

Joel, Fred, you guys are cheating! Physical mutation!!! Not X-Men mutation!
Okay, I'll play by your rules then... I want the ability to zip between locations, like Hiro in Heroes... but I don't want time travel as well... too messy!

Well mine kind of is a physical mutation if it's controlled by my autonomic nervous system which occurs without my control.Cubase wrote:Joel, Fred, you guys are cheating! Physical mutation!!! Not X-Men mutation!

Sigh... If it'll let me play in your sandbox without ruining the fun for everyone, I'll retract my statement (but not my wish!) to gain the power to move physical objects with my mind...
Shapeshifting is still legal however. If it happened in a Tex-game, it's canon!
Buuut, if I have to choose some kinda deformity of physicalness, I'd go with four arms. Useful, if I could manage them. If they'd wag like tails, I think I'd go with the two standard arms and have twelve fingers instead. Useful for typing. Then I could reach the numeric keypad without losing the 6- Y-, H- and N-keys
I would be a typing god.
Or, y'know. A third eye, right smack dab in the middle of the forehead is also good.

scales would be kind of cool... for about half a day ><
I gots a webcomic! http://yetanothercomic.com
I agree that it would be the coolest and would be my first choice, but is it really a mutilation? I saw shape-changing more as an enhanced ability that's within the control of the person who holds the power. By interpretation of a multilation was a part of the body that somebody has been deprived of either as a result of genetics or injury. Shape shifting sounds more like something from Heros.
