Seeing as most people on the member list that have nominated their birthdays in their personal details have never posted, or rarely have, it is safe to say that they probably will never read this message. So please, for the sanity of the board lets minimise the birthday wishes, at least to those who genuinely give a hoot. Yes, we may catch the occasional lurker, but it's getting to the point where it feels like bloody Groundhog Day! I personally would rather someone give me a personal birthday greeting having known enough about me to genuinely mean it, rather than receive a mandatory obligated message.
Tip: When the birthday message comes up, have a sneak peek at the member's details. If they have made no posts, or have very little and have not posted in a very long period of time, leave it out... and I promise you they won't cry themselves to sleep.

I did look at the Profile, which is why I said what I did in the Post... 
Just because they aren't posters like You, Fred, Jim, Myself and many others, doesn't mean they don't view the board... No reason to leave them out, they have gone through the trouble of making an account, which means they are semi-interested in the board... They could have just viewed the board and left...
