I don't want to alienate anyone, but it's pretty much tears of joy in this house.

Yes, I can't believe it. I'm proud of you USA! This has to be (in my opinion) one of the most important days in political history...
Go Obama!

They're saying the deciding factor was "white college educated people," and that makes sense.

Now we need to wait and see if we end up in a Civil war within the next couple of years... Because I believe there is going to be attempts on Obama's Life and that will send the country into chaos...
The next few years will really test how far this country has really come... I hope for the better, but have fears of the worst...

Hooray! I was so nervous it would go the other way. Man oh man, I kinda feel sorry for ol' McCain - really. He seems like a genuinely good guy - just happened to be on the unfavorable side of an aisle during a crisis. Did I detect tears in his addams apple? Anyway, great speech for Obama too - I can now finally relax and get back to business as usual

McCain should have probably ran back in 1996 against Clinton's Second Term... He might have won back then... He surely would have picked a better running mate back then and he was only 60 so age wouldn't have been such a big factor either... He just waited a bit too long to try for the Big Office...
And The Final Map Is...
Obama 334
McCain 157
Ties 47
Edited - Map is now outdated... Corrections include, Alaska Red, Hawaii Blue...

Cubase that drawing was pretty accurate except Truman and Eisenhower are in the wrong place. They need to be switched to maintian chronological order.
Baftis when you say ties I take you mean states where all the votes haven't been counted.

I was just Cutting ~N~ Pasting off the website I got the Map off of... They listed them as Ties... Not that it matters at this point, someone might as well call them and tell them they can go home, finish counting tomorrow... lol

Weirdly, I had a dream this morning that I woke up and heard the news that McCain had won. And everyone was calling it a cheat, that he had somehow thieved the oval office. Y'know. Like Bush.
And I woke up angry. I was annoyed and pissed off (and somehow still believing he'd "won").
Then I log on, view the news, and BAM!
I did a little song, a little dance. Now I'm doing breakfast. Afterwards I'm gonna do happy.
I think Happy is on the menu for the rest of the day. I'm relieved.
Thank you for this. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you!
-Fred

The best part of it was that I got the news from my heroes, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert last night. I would've enjoyed it no matter what the results were.
