Nice, thanks for the heads up.

It might be the Final Cut, but it's still gonna be all cut up because it is on Commercial TV... Still, I'll probably watch it...

I still have yet to see The Final Cut...but one day I shall. Not sure if I've already missed it (haven't checked the time difference), but I'm working tonight, so its not going to happen.

Get Netflix... Solves those time problems most of the time... I usually get a movie within 1-2 days... I don't know how they are able to get things through the mail that quickly, but they do...

Rather easy. The US Postal Service scans the mail, and NetFlix knows you've returned a film, so they send your next one out. Then when they get the mail that day they update your profile with the movie that was returned.
I send a Movie on Monday and I get a Movie on Tuesday or Wednesday... No matter what scanning is used, that's pretty fast...
It takes my neighbor 3 or 4 days to get an Invitation that I send them for any type of special occasion...

And the distribution center for Netflix in this area is about 200 miles away as well...

and I get stuff "ground shipment," from Amazon.com in generally 1 business day and 2 at the max. The shipping business is just a heck of a lot better if you live in a decent area.
What difference does the area I live in make when I talk about Mailing something to my neighbor and mailing something to someone 200 miles away???
I'm in the same area on both accounts, that doesn't change...
I can get things from DC or Virgina in about 1 or 2 days, but I can't get something to or from my neighbor in less than 3 or 4...
I even have things get lost more often sending to people in my locale as apposed to outside the metro area...

I just find it strange how Netflix gets things out like they do, never flawed as long as I've had an account {with the exception of their computer foul up in September}... I mail something out on Monday, they get it on Tuesday and mail my next selection on Tuesday, and I get it on Wednesday... The days change, I'm just using the beginning of the week as an example... The only time there is more than a 1 day turn around is if I mail something on Friday, then of course Sunday becomes a layover day...

Netflix has shipping centers everywhere. They have a return center in your locale. It's your post office. Post office scans the Netflix envelope, and out goes your next movie.

The location matters because of shipping lanes. You must live within a major shipping lane. If you didn't it would take 2 days from Netflix. Local shipping is always entirely different. The way sorting works and is handled by post offices is amusing.
