How about this BS with Obama's Governor??? Man has been under investigation for 3 years and had no idea... Tried to sell off Obama's Senate Seat to the highest bidder...
I really loved the part when he spoke at a Union Strike and Taunted people to Tap his phone and bug his office, One Day before he got arrested... That was just too funny... He'll be the 4th Governor to go to jail in the last 40 years... Maybe Illinois should Banish the Governor Office, just seems to be a chair of Evil in there...

Well, Chicago has been having trouble with corrupt mayors and the state with governors since the Roaring 20's. Back then the incumbent Mayor was running for another term. You know what his campaign slogan was? "Vote early and vote often." True story.

Isn't it part of the charm of Chicago though?
Even mayor Daley is quite the character. The guy could seriously proclaim himself emperor of Chicago and I'm sure no one would bat an eye. In fact, judging by the amount of banners with his name on it, I'd bet no one would notice the difference.
He does a fantastic job though, at least on the surface. It's a wonderful city I could never get tired of.

It would be interesting to see if he continues to ignore the resignation pleas how long he'd stay into power. He can still appoint someone to the Senate.

I'm pretty sure the Senate needs to approve of his choice before anything if final... As for staying in office, I don't see him going anywhere until he is indicted... Just the way politicians seem to be...
I can't remember his name off hand and I don't feel like searching for it, but that Senator from Alaska who was found Guilty, he still tried to run and reclaim his Seat in the Senate...
Take my Governor, Martin O'Malley... He has spent so much tax payer money on Personal Vacation trips and no one will left a finger against him... Sickens me... Over 100,000 Dollars on a Trip to Ireland...
We need a complete Restructure of the Government from top to bottom... No different than calling for the CEOs of big companies that are failing to resign their position... The Government isn't working, so why isn't anyone Resigning their positions... A Bunch of Hypocrites, that's way...

I think the impeachment process would be a long one. I can't blame him for wanting to hold on or calling their bluff. There were talks about Clinton being impeached but it never happened.
And yeah the Senate has sole authority on approving his choice. But if it's a good choice they should approve it.

Speaking of corrupt mayors.
What about Detroit's former Mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick.

Yeah but he got nailed and is now in jail... It was quite the character though, made me think of Clinton a bit from his incident...

Kwame was much much worse than Clinton..... No one got killed in the lewinski scandal.
I always thought that scandal was blown way out of proportion.....
Look at Kennedy... he was never impeached for bein with Marilyn

Yeah but look at Marilyn... lol It was a different time back then as well... Not trying to cover anyone's actions, cheating is cheating as far as I'm concerned, but the way things were viewed in different times {such as Kennedy's time} was much different than how things are viewed today...

I am definately not an advocate of cheating. I think its dispicable.
I just don't think it determins how a person can govern a country.
