I get the meaning behind it.......

but it still sounds really gross.

If I ever became an informant, I would prefer being called 'The Grapevine'.

It was the name that Mark Felt picked himself... In the beginning no one knew the real name of the Informant... Why he chose "Deep Throat" is anyone's guess... I assume that he was just a big fan of the Movie that came out around the same time...


The Grapevine would be a good name for an Informant, the only problem is when things trickle down the Grapevine they are usually contorted massively from the original message...
