If I ever became an informant, I would prefer being called 'The Grapevine'.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
It was the name that Mark Felt picked himself... In the beginning no one knew the real name of the Informant... Why he chose "Deep Throat" is anyone's guess... I assume that he was just a big fan of the Movie that came out around the same time...lestat666 wrote:.... I always wondered why they would use this name for informants...
I get the meaning behind it.......
but it still sounds really gross.
The Grapevine would be a good name for an Informant, the only problem is when things trickle down the Grapevine they are usually contorted massively from the original message...
Here is a Classic example of the way a Grapevine Message works... Classic...

"We could make at least enough money to pay some bills, like the debt I've run up for the kids' education," she told her father, according to the Vanity Fair article. "Let's do it for the family."
Yeah, I addressed that question above... That's the only reason I can think of for him using that name, he was a Fan...Bafitis wrote:Why he chose "Deep Throat" is anyone's guess... I assume that he was just a big fan of the Movie that came out around the same time...
