The trouble, the New Jersey shop said, was that it was "inappropriate" to put such a name on the cake.

But the little boy's father, Heath Campbell, said it was unfair of ShopRite supermarket to turn down his request.

Heath Campbell said he named his son after Adolf Hitler because he liked the name and because "no one else in the world would have that name".

Referring to the baker's decision, he said: "They need to accept a name. A name's a name.

"The kid isn't going to grow up and do what Hitler did."

But the problem does not stop there.

The shop has also refused to make a cake for Mr Campbell's second child, who turns two next February.

Her name is JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell.

Heath and Deborah Campbell's third child will probably not get a cake from that shop either.

The eight-month-old baby has been named Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, apparently a reference to one of the Nazi's most monstrous leaders, SS head Heinrich Himmler.

For the time being, the matter has been settled - the Campbells had their cake made by Wal-Mart.
Yeah I heard about this a couple of days ago on Red Eye... Poor Kid, he didn't name himself, no reason to take it out on the kid... Another Bakery in the area agreed to make the cake though, so the kid still got his cake and ate it too...

Some Stupid, Racist Parent that kid has though, naming their boy that...
Also they named one of their daughters JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and the other Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell...

Birthday cakes typically only have the first name on the cake. "Happy Birthday Adolf." But the parents clearly wanted to put on the whole name to make a statement and generally be assholes. They're also using their children as tools.
Actually I know a lot of people that like to call their kids by their first and middle name... My neighbors have called their son James Raye for years, I've even heard them call him Jimmy Raye... My grandmother loves to call my mother Vicki Lee... Granted I've never seen their Birthday Cakes to know whether or not both names are put on it, but it's not unheard of...

Now for the parents being assholes, they were assholes the moment they named their kids, the names they did... Long before Birthday Cakes were involved... Long before they were even parents, I'm willing to bet...

Now, no matter how that kid turns out, he will be disliked by just about anyone of any race due to his name alone, especially Jewish people and African Americans, which is a sad outcome for the child all in itself...
If he takes his own path and doesn't lead the life of his parents, once he is 18 he will/should most likely change his name legally, I'm sure no judge would really question why he was requesting the change...

Typically, people who wish to name their kids after something or someone that was dear to them, they only pick a part of the name. If they liked Hitler so much, which I couldn't care less about, why not call the kid Adolf Campbell.

What really takes the cake, pun intended, is JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell. I mean that's not even a name! At best it's a slogan. You know there's going to be some fools calling their kids Barrack, but I'm sure we won't hear of anyone with a girl called JoyceLynn Yes We Can Campbell.

What puzzles me though is how they went from something as outrageously infantile as Aryan Nation to the actually clever Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie within a few months.

When it's a joke for one to decorate
Fascist dictators names...upon a cake
Anything goes!

When crazy folks go off to name their child
Slogans, phrases, the like, the weird and the wild
Anything goes!

If I had to
Make a guess or to
Take a guess I would
Fake a guess the best
Kind of guess but I'll
Surely guess that all
The rest...
Would not condone

When Wal-Mart comes in time to save the day
For a dollar they would not say no way
Anything goes!

You had me dancin' Vracar!

And I totally agree Frank. There's homage, and there's downright pushing the envelope for the sake of rubbing it in.

Maybe, but it's been a while since I've seen the Temple of Doom. It is a song that plays on Galaxy News Radio in Fallout 3, courtesy of Three Dog.

Hmm, been a few weeks since Fallout 3, and I'm really poor at remembering diegetic music.

Must replay!
