It was quite the trip! I saw some old friends, went to Stirling Castle, tasted both haggis and proper scottish beer, and impressed the heck out of my friends with norwegian chocolate. Fun was had all around! I even got to try the hospitality of a real scottish Bed & Breakfast!

I also had pictures taken, here's a few:

Image

The Bed & Breakfast I was staying at. It was run by a very sweet lil' lady named Rosie (of course her name was Rosie! How much more scottish does it get?!) She made a breakfast you would only dream of eating under normal circumstances - Bowl of cornflakes with some honey in it, jam on toast, and a BIG plate of cooked beans, fried eggs, fried sausages, fried bacon, fried potatoes, fried tomatoes, and fried mushrooms. It was a pleasure getting up in the morning!

Approaching Stirling Castle!

This would be me, obscuring a fantastic view of Stirling, Scotland.

The entrance! Grand, eh?

The tapestries were absolutely fantastic!

Sadly, the batteries on the camera died on our trip back home after this, so not much more was chronicled in the way of the modern photograph. But the memories of this trip I shall carry with me for the rest of my life!

Beautiful Pictures... Though I'm disappointed that I'm not seeing any Nessy Pics...
You sound like you had a good time and that's all that matters... Scotland is on my list of worldly places to travel to eventually... Glad to hear from someone first hand that it is a nice place...

I can't seem to load those pics here at work... but from the thumbnails they looks like some awesome locations. Will check it out in more detail when I get home.

Apart from the fact that the B&B looks frighteningly like a suburban house, Rosie and her heavenly breakfast sound quite inviting!

When you got into the castle, did you tell the butler that Lord Fred and his lovely party were there to view the tapestries?

Nah. He would've merely claimed that if I was a lord, he was Mickey Mouse. And then I would have to slap him for his troubles.

Yes but think of the adventure!
