For some reason my brain decided that the best way to figure out how Doug's last name is spelled is to run the variants through Google. I'm quite surprised at what I discovered. The first result was this: http://www.joeheadquarters.com/intervie ... rift.shtml

I worked on a few more series after the G.I. Joe ended. The crew disbanded and worked on other things. I did My Little Pony and Muppet Babies as well as the first couple of episodes of Batman the Animated series. I also worked on The Bionic Six, Defenders of the Universe and Conan, the Adventurer. I went back to New York and worked with a computer animation company and am now living in Utah creating entertainment software. I still use my storyboarding skills to create the games I now work on.

If he's really as you say then I can just imagine him being the one to spawn and distribute (through whispering into little kids ears) that old playground favourite during My Little Pony's popularity:

"My Little Pony,
Skinny and bony"

We all used to sing that, even the die-hard fans of the show had to give in sometime and try the catchy little ditty (and consequently regret it afterwards!)

Doug might be the type of guy responsible for the cover of The Little Mermaid VHS (and probably DVD). The inner darkness finds ways to sneak out.

I personally loved Batman TAS though--that was great.

Well, Gi Joe and Batman TAS were some of the best damn cartoons to bless my childhood/teenagehood

I absolutely loved Batman TAS. How did you feel when they switched it to the WB and made it Batman/Superman? I felt like it got a lot worse, especially with the animation...

I tried to follow the series a bit, but eventually stopped watching. It just didn't have the same feel to it. The writing was just so phenomenal in TAS, the atmosphere was what I still find to be the best tv/movie adaptation of Batman ever made (without removing any credit to the kickass Tim Burton job). That's why I loved Batman Begins, because it was so close to the series, save for the final scene.

Shame the DVD releases of TAS suck. I would've bought em, but there's only a few episodes out there, so I was forced to download them.
