Ewwww. No way. Sci Fi stands for Science Fiction. What the heck does Sy FY stand for? I didn't read through the entire article, but I hope this doesn't mean they're going to stray from their subject matter. As much as I like wrestling, I always thought it was a slap in the face to sci-fi fans to have ECW on their channel. It stays there because it is the TOP rated show on their channel, but that was never what the channel was about. Oh but what did WWE do for thier first broadcast to slap the audience even more? They brought out a very VERY poorly played zombie to a chorus of boos. And they billed him as a ... real zombie. Then the Sandman came out and caned him with a singapore cane until he couldn't get up. This way they could say what they were doing was science fiction. And I hear that's how Vince McMahon got it accept too, to make sure he had science fiction content. Now tell me that isn't ridiculous..
I hope this isn't the death of my dad's favorite channel. He would have been sad

Also, in polish, "syfy" has a meaning somewhere between zits, filthy and scum. Whoops!

You know, phonetic speech is an ever increasing problem in today's youth, seriously. The amount of people who are starting to spell how words sound (not to mention using net-speak abbreviations), rather than how they are properly spelt is terrible!
Some peepool are just plane stoopid!
...bit don't get me started on the misuse of the word Addicting in place of Addictive! Or the misuse of their, there and they're! Gahhhhh!
I heard the Sci-Fi channel sucked anyway,.

A lot of the Sci-Fi shows and movies do suck, but they had a few exceptions like the already mentioned Farscape, along with a few others...

Farscape was easily the most unique Sci-Fi TV show ever released, it had its own style which none of the other shows were doing (ie. that dirty organic and a bit mystic sci-fi feel where others were doing more of that Sterile Star Trek thing.) What ultimately killed the series was Scorpius I think, they just keep bringing him back and it kept getting repetitive and boring.
I loved the alien that farted all the time

Rigel wasn't it? I can't remember its been so long but he was a great character because he wanted to constantly sell out his friends to the highest bidder- its like if you make a star trek episode where A Klingon, A Romulan, A Cardassian, A Vulcan, a Ferengi and lastly a Human had to live on a single ship-- it would just be hilarious-- and that's what Farscape was- the Human had no idea what was going on and the other aliens reacted to him in different ways, some were kind, other were attracted to him, others felt he was a threat that should be eliminated, others considered him annoying and some even took advantage of him *cough* rigel
it was just such a great idea and when they'd add new characters to the show it'd make things all the more hostile.. it was great!. The important bit is that unlike most sci-fi Farscape's characters all had their own Agendas-- and in some episodes conflicting agendas.
Even better was that the bad guys were essentially all against each other too meaning in some episodes they'd be just watching as the two villains ripped each other apart- it was really great stuff and only turned one sided when Scorpius was added to the show- initially he was a great character because he added a form of evil to the peacekeepers despite that they weren't evil at all- only Scorpius was- but then when he was killed off it just got annoying because he'd keep on coming back to annoy Crichton and the viewers.
It was just a great show and shot in Australia too. (many of the actors in the show were very successful Australian actors so they really did get a good cast going..)

It's been too long since I've even seen a repeat, but you might recognize her name on the list of characters...

ooohhhh Snap... lol
Though that wasn't the question I was asking myself... If I can let you in on a little secret that is exactly what I would pray for just before falling asleep... I would close my eyes and pray "Don't let me be on his list, please don't let me be on his list."
