2 fmv sequences from next Casebook episode

Shortly after developer Areo announced the releasedate of the next episode of their fmv/casual/adventure hybrid Casebook ( October 30.th) they´ve just released two really cool cutscenes out of the new episode "Snake in the Grass".

I think that the material is awesome! And director Sam Clarkson (who is also the creative director of Areo) is an extremely talented and very experienced guy behind the lense, who gives this series a very professional style eventhough they´re shooting on a very small budget.

I mean, it´s simply amazing what this small team delivers. And while the second episode already was a huge improvement over the first one, it seems to me that they´re getting better and better.
Remember when we were discussing their engine? The new episode was delayed for months because they took some time to optimize their engine, the result should be pretty impressing.

And by the way :you can get the first 2 episodes for a very low price at the official website at the moment. The first one costs 5 dollars, the second one is available for 7.50 $.

Personally i don´t think that the first episode is essential and i´d start with episode 2, since the debut is a great tech demo but concerning the storytelling it´s far away from what they´ve reached afterwards. And there isn´t any foreknowledge from the first episode required anyway. Whoever likes FMV games and has some money in their pockets really should support this small, sympathic and very talented team from New Zealand. They´ll thank you by keeping fmv games alive. :D
looks very interesting, reminds me of a interactive dvd game I have "tender loving care"

I still remember how fascinated i was by Tender Loving Care when i first got confronted with it. Still one of the best fmv games ever from my point of view, fascinating concept and a great contribution by John Hurt of course.

There was another pretty similar fmv title by the creators of TLC some years later by the way: Point of View. The marketing turned into a catastrophy and unlike TLC it´s rather a very unknown game but surely recommendable, even if wasn´t really a game but much more an interactive movie in the actual sense. Bought it in the beginning of this year and enjoyed it a lot.

Here´s a trailer:

what I liked about tender loving care was you could play it in the lounge room in front of the tv, they only way to save is to write down all the codes they give to get back to the game at a later date.

point of view looks interesting too.

I've got TLC as well... It was definitely Different... John Hurt did an awesome job narrating it, all the while analyzing us...
