Just finished Battlestar Galactica

Ever since the mini (or as I like to call it, the three hour epic), i've been following this series on DVD one episode per week. Last night, I finally completed the series with the two parter of Daybreak. WOW. What a journey it has been!
For the most part, I felt that the finale was handled really well. The only "weak" spot was maybe the aftermath of the battle was stretched out a little too much, but even then seeing the resolution of the characters was compelling. In terms of sci-fi, from the show's i've seen, I haven't really been too satisfied with a series finale since TNG's All Good Things.
With Daybreak, the show didn't end too suddenly, there was some closure, plenty of action and a nice surprise twist in the end with a quick cameo by RDM. I especially enjoyed the humourous bit of dialogue:
Dr. Cottle: i've checked their DNA, it's compatible with theirs
Dr. Batlar: we should begin breeding
Adama: you have a one track mind, Doctor
I've glad that after all of the darkness in the series, we finalyl got to see some hope and light. Those dreary, sombre last few weeks have really paid off.
Overall, I think my favourite season will always be Season 1 as this is when the crew (with the exception of the second half of this season) was truly "together". My least favourite would have to be Season 3.
A terrific series which I will no doubt revisit. Where to next? Can anyone recommend Lost?
