Surgery...
Well I'm off to have my 2nd out of 3 Kidney Surgeries in a few hours, 7am EST... Which is just under 8 hours away...
I don't think I'll be laid up or anything, it's an Out-Patient procedure... Just wanted to let you all know what was going on...

Thanks all... I'll most likely be online tomorrow night... In pain and uncomfortable and on my laptop while laying on the couch instead of sitting at my desk, but I should be here all the same...
Should be pretty routine... The 1st Surgery they took the Left Kidney Stone out and put a Stent on both the Left and Right sides... In a few short hours they will remove the Stent on the Left side and take out the Stone on the right...
Then in a few weeks, after another round of Antibiotics, they will remove the Stent from the right side... And hopefully that will be the end of my hospital days for quite some time...
I'll say this, it has certainly opened my eyes to a healthier eating lifestyle... Not too sure my son is going to be too happy with that, but I'd hate to see him go through anything that I have at some point down the road...
Don't get me wrong, we aren't a bunch of junk food eaters, but when I'm grilling steaks or something, instead of Fries we'll have Salad or Mixed Veggies or something... You know small changes, but changes that will make a difference...
Instead of Sugary Cereals, they've been replaced with Whole Grain Cereals and Cereals that have Fiber and such... Again small changes that will make a difference...

Home and I'm alive and well... In about 6 weeks I'll have the final surgery to be rid of all this... Then hopefully I won't see another hospital for some years to come...

Yeah it's 3 total...
My problem began over the summer in short spurts and then really hit me in September... I spent a few days in the hospital and then they went in, they took out the Stone on the Left and put a Stent on both sides... Today they took the Stent on the Left out and removed the Stone on the Right... So after another round of Antibiotics I'll go and have the Stent on the Right taken out... So 3 surgeries in all...
There's very little risk, but necessary... The point of entry is what makes it most uncomfortable... They need to get to my Bladder and Kidneys and I'll just say that they aren't Cutting me open... So think about how they're going in for this...
And they need to do it 3 times... I'm not a happy person about any of this... lol But I can laugh about it...

None of it Damages anything... The Stones when they get lodged cause horrific pain and can cause blockage if they are big enough... Most of the time people pass the stones without realizing they ever had them... But sometimes this happens...
But they did have to Dig this last stone out and the Tube between the Kidney and the Bladder is going to take some time to heal, that is kind of painful right now, but all should be well after about a week or so and then I'll just go have the Stent taken out and should be done with it all...
