Best movies to show off BluRay goodness:

Planet Earth documentary (Best visuals)
Bolt (cleanest digital transfer, hands down)
Transformers (sound and all round awesomeness)
Cloverfield (same as above)
....and many more.

these days you will find almost any modern movie available on BluRay... you will not be disappointed... just make sure you have a nice HDTV and Sound system capable of HDMI based lossless audio signal processing, and you're set!!

Planet Earth documentary (Best visuals) YEP!
Bolt (cleanest digital transfer, hands down) Been amazed myself. Most have been astounding so far.

Dark Knight Returns !!!! The Imax portions are amazing, audio I thought was top notch too!

Best old movie revamped for Blue ray- Wizard of OZ!

I was very fond of the Animatrix on BluRay, the details were SO much sharper, you could read the terms of surrender in the Second Renaissance. Just took the wow factor up a notch!

Enjoy whatever you choose!

I watched Pink australian concert & it was fantastic, purchased a couple of oldies on blu-ray

ghost, wow they did a good job on that, vertical limits (my previous copy on dvd was a $#it recording) & pearl harbour as it was such a long movie that i never had on dvd.

Gee once you play blu-ray you don't wont to watch anyhting else.

I am so disappointed my lost season 1-5 are not in blu-ray

Hey Jen, I'd totally watch the Wizard of Oz on blu-ray if I didn't think the movie stunk horrid monkey butt. It must have been made before acting was invented.

And to get on topic, I own a copy of the worst blu-ray transfer. Stargate, the movie! The main English version doesn't display the subtitles for the quasi-Egyptian, so when they speak it you have to have the subtitles on for everything just to understand the Egyptian.
