Hi guys! Great site- played the pandora directive when i was kid ages ago, got a hankering to play it some more and just bought all three games! didnt realise there was such a following still!!

Anyway, enough gushing from me - my problem is that i am currently playing Overseer - the cd version - and everytime i get to gideons gallery puzzle (with the chandeliers and the brass poles) my games crashes with an unexpected error. Tried the patch download, the full game download from nilos place, ive tried it on gamer and entertainment...pretty sure my disc is damaged.

Basically, would anyone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be kind enough to upload a save game from just after that point so that i can continue with the game!!

If you've been to Nilo's place just go back over there, he has a bunch of Saved Game files... Not completely sure it will solve your problem though, if the Disc is damaged it is liable to be faulty in other places as well, unless it is just the one file that has gotten corrupted...

If you don't feel like buying it from GOG and downloading it, you could probably get another copy from ebay at a pretty cheap price... I saw one earlier today for just 3.99...

Plumgas, I've seen you say this before, but I never had a problem with Overseer... I never muted anything back when I played it... Or is this a problem with the newer operating systems???

Last time I played Overseer it was back on Win95 or Win98... I've purchased it from GOG, but I haven't installed it yet, for lack of time...

it started with xp,

error messages does not mean an error was an xp error & was corrected also with muting the midi.

the problem with the midi started when microsoft changed windows & incoropated media player technology & now windows cannot read or understand midi files.

With the gog version the midi is muted by default, some people have gone into config panel & changed it & then wondered why they are having problems.

Okay, then that explains why I never got the error that I see people complain about... Because I haven't tried to play it in the Newer Operating Systems... I didn't even get Overseer until the patch was already out...
In fact I didn't even know Overseer was out, I went to the store planning to buy another game... I saw this red light blinking and it grabbed my attention, I picked it up and it said "Tex Murphy" I was like "HEELLLLOOO"... lol Don't even remember what I was planning on buying, I just know that I didn't buy it... lol
My red light still blinks too...

the patch was mainly for the dvd, added dvd express into the options for dvd decoding.

I didn't know, I just knew that 99.9% of the time if there is a Patch available it is best to go ahead and get it...
