Got Tex on my Kindle

Hey Jim the Old Guy,
Just wanted to say thanks again for sending me those pdf versions of Aaron's books a while back. I had forgotten I had gotten them in 2004.

I remembered today that my Kindle could read pdf files. I uploaded your files (UKAM and Pandora) to my Kindle. Now Tex can travel with me wherever I go. :)

Hmmm....now I'm tempted to get a Kindle.
In all fairness I think the other e-book readers can read pdf files as well.

You are most certainly welcome, my dear Sam. However, I only email those PDFs when asked; the real creator who deserves our sincere thanks is Demonlawyer. It was he who actually read the books into his computer mic. (Ergo, some unusual translations by the program that resulted in seeming errors.) My part was relatively small compared to DL's involvement.

BTW, if anyone else desires a PDF copy of either book, please send me an email. [email protected]

Oh well then a big thank you to David!

So, I understand that this means I am reading too many children's stories to my son, but everytime I see "Nook" I think of Nookgase on my bookcase from There's a Wocket in my Pocket.

Okay, sorry that was completely random. I'll get back on task now.
How old is your Son??? You could probably read him the Tex Novels and skip any parts you feel are "Too Adult" for him...

My son just turned 12 last Friday, I think he just might be ready for Tex... Gonna start him off with Kings Quest and Space Quest and see how he does, then I'll move on to Police Quest and Tex...

Gotta show him what Gaming is all about and get him off that Disney's Pirates Online... lol

He's 2, so we're not quite up to more advanced books and games yet. However, he is fascinated with cars, so he will sit in my lap while I play GT5 Prologue. He also enjoys some of the PBS games on PBS Kids. I need someone to play games with so I'm definitely going to indoctrinate him into the gaming fold.
Yeah okay I agree, 2 is a bit young to understand and/or enjoy something like Tex... lol

Yeah my son is currently into fast paced gaming action... I have to show him that games are more than that...
He does however enjoy the movies of Star Wars, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Indiana Jones, and Lord Of The Rings... So he is on the right path...

I hope I can get my son on the same path your son is on. (I'm sure if my wife were to know my plan, she would just roll her eyes.) :)

You're too kind Jim, I think at the very least it was a joint effort - I remember dictating while you were busy typing up the other chapters (which involves a lot more effort)!

It's great though that people still read them isn't it? That's what's so great about Tex - it's something you can go back to at any time and it's always as enjoyable as the first time you read it.

Apologies for any typos - I probably still have the original word documents for the chapters I did if they need correcting.
