Favorite thing about Tex

Let's start a new topic. What's your favorite quality about Tex?
My favorite is that he's not a quitter. You can break his heart, mug/shoot him, beat the crap out of him, but he still keeps coming back for more. I don't know if it's stupidity or bravery, but I do admire a man that never gives up.

Cute. He's real cute.
I like how he has a cynical mind but not a cynical heart.

Yeah, he's cute.....if you like guys. Still, his disarming demeanor coupled with a sincere desire to do what is right despite overwhelming odds is what I find most appealing. And, he's kind of a smart a$$, which is always a quality I enjoy in a P.I.

I like his One Of A Kind Fedora, because no matter how many Fedora makers I go to, I can't get them to duplicate it...

Tex is a man born in the wrong century, yet he still manages to survive and triumph precisely because he is such a freakin' walking anachronism. That, and he's just big kid who never grew up.

Yes Jim I must agree (being one who likes guys) that he is pretty good looking. But I think his voice is more attractive. They've conditioned us after three games to respond favorably to Chris's voice. I suspect they must have put in subliminal messages to keep us loyal to him.

I like how he follows his beliefs and never compromises in the face of danger. And how he always seems to have a plan. Even when it's just pure dumb luck.

What I like most is that he knows what he loves and sticks to it. He wears a treanchcoat and fedora even if it is outdated and choses to be a PI even though he makes little money.
And of course his wonderful sense of humor, cynical and sometimes naive, is great too.

Hey Guys! A red-letter day at the UOTM board. Tuco and Ruben posting on the same thread! Yippee! Really good to see the both of you posting, especially my old dear friend, Ruben.
I agree, Sam. The voice has a lot to do with it. A bit gravelly, never nasally (like mine), always confidently, and eternally endearing. Other than that, his voice is quite normal. j/k

Yeah I know. Very comforting voice. I think CJ should do audio books.

I like the wit and humour, though the fedora is pretty cool too.

Thanks for the kind words, Jim.
I have the pleasure of reading your posts very often as I check UTM everyday, though I feel quite confortable just reading.

Yes the voice, CJ's voice rates among the greats like James Earl Jones and Sean Connery...
He just has one of those voices that you'll know, no matter what...

Having a great voice is truly an asset, but coupled with a day old beard is an additional plus. Of course, let us not forget the cigarette hanging from his lips and the oft glass of bourbon in his hand. Makes for a really top notch P.I.
