Cool. I need to hurry up and finish playing Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition. Work and school keep getting in the way.

Instead of remakes er special editions LA just needs to make new games!

Yeah I think the only new games they are making are Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

I'd personally like a re-release of Grim Fandango. That's my favorite game by them.

We have way too few good adventure games these days. But it's time to realize gaming is moving away from the pc and onto the console full-time. The exception being RTS games and overly complicated RPGs. And even the latter gets simplified and dumbed down for the consoles.

Doesn't mean consoles are all bad, it's just a new medium.

Clinging to the pc as a gaming platform is getting to be a less and less viable option.

At least that's how I see things.

Right, must work on that segment of the Tex story - I've already played with three different ideas in the ten minutes I had to myself today....

Speaking of needing more adventure stuff, I am happy that the Wii and PC have had Telltale making new seasons of Monkey Island, Sam and Max and Strongbad. I have been working my way through all of them as they come out and enjoyed them a lot although the games do tend to chug a little on the Wii. Still being such a massive fan of adventure games and especially these brands I dont mind that little complaint too much. If you havent played them yet yourself and feel the itch for a good old fashioned point and click hit check em out.

To this day I have never played the original Monkey Island games. I did play the Curse of Monkey Island (released in the late 1990s?) and loved it. I'll have to start fresh and play the remasters from the beginning.

I've got an an email for him. I've shot him a "are you still alive" email for you. His last Facebook entry was May 20th so it has been over a month.

His baby is due around now, isn't she??? I think the baby was a she, if not I apologize...

I checked his old post. On Feb 12th he said the baby was at 19 weeks with his ultrasound picture. Yes it's a girl. So maybe we'll be seeing some new baby photos in a few weeks.

Yea, if he has a new baby, he may be preoccupied for a bit.
